2.7 Demo Discussion

The demo of the game was simply mind blowing, all the little things added (sound effects, new interactions, shadows, AI improvements, etc) made the game simply pop up. Congratulations to Dave and all of the beta testers, who made WQ come back to it's feet. Once again, I'll download the full version as soon as I can.
I have one question though, how much experience points do you need to find a dispersal wolf? I'm currently at 1.220 exp and still, the only wolves I can find are not dispersal. I don't want to ruin anything, but I'm really confused at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm about the same level though I have 1.470. (took out a whole elk herd XD) Took me a long time to find a female and I finally found a single one but she didn't want to be my mate so I think that you should be able to find one though it is 50/50 or so I am told so just keep looking like I did and you should come across one maybe? c:

I found a dispersal a bit ago but she just ran off....... maybe I should wear a tux and bowtie??

I finally found a mate after so long!
It really took a lot of effort, but I finally did it! I'm so happy. :'D

eta: on the topic of the demo, I'm really happy they fixed the issue where you could see your dead body on the map after dying to something! ehehe

I've noticed that when looking for elk I tend to run out of hunting ground before I find the scent trail. Is this a glitch or does it just mean I should start from the other end of the hunting ground, instead of near the middle?

After 2 hours of playing finally got one and completed the game and I love it so much~ Cant wait for the full game comes up ugh~<33

I've noticed that when looking for elk I tend to run out of hunting ground before I find the scent trail. Is this a glitch or does it just mean I should start from the other end of the hunting ground, instead of near the middle?

You have to be downwind from the scent markers. So the scent markers have to be between you and the wind.
In other words, for example, if the wind is blowing in your face, but the scent markers are to your extreme right, you won't be able to smell them because of the wind direction....that's why there are 4 wind directions on the compass and not just two!

Rain makes the scents less visible.

When you enter a territory the location of the social arena is random every time, and thus so are the scent markers.

It takes some time figuring it out (and its educational! heh)

Managed to find a mate though! Oddly I only needed around 700 exp points, thought I'd need a lot more. And I managed to woo the dispersal on the first try lol, I must be an expert flirt! (it's so cute how your mate will bow back and also sleep beside you awww. And wow is the improved AI ever nice.)

I was also wondering if there's anything else new or changed in AM. I found those added-in rock structures at the cliffs and I've been exploring around to see if there's anything else but I haven't found anything. Would just like to know if I'm wandering aimlessly or not lol.
