Re: First Recorded Bison Kill!
I already saw this video on YouTube a while ago, but the tactics you used to kill the bison still fascinate me. I guess that this shows that it is possible to kill a Bison with just you and your mate, but it definitely takes a lot of luck, good techniques, and patience to kill them. I'm sure that t...

First Recorded Bison Kill!
To the best of my knowledge, I am the first person to have killed a bison in Anniversary Edition!
At the very least, I'm the first person to have posted proof of it.

Re: Looking for Trouble
Gosh, that spike's health went down soooo slowly  Actually, that's a quirk that needs refining. Once an elk's health gets real low, you have to bite it on the neck to kill it....but that darn spike kept standing up and running again, so it was very hard to get to the neck. We'll be tweaking th...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions
It's possible for feathers to evolve into reptilian scales. That's seriously what people unable to accept that Velociraptor had feathers seem to think. Its predecessors (like Microraptor ) were unambiguously feathered, and there is no evidence whatsoever of any feathered organism reverting to repti...

Re: Beta Testing WolfQuest 3
It's simply hard to contain one's excitement with an update of this magnitude so close. Never in my wildest dreams did I think WolfQuest would become so...so...I mean just look at it! I do like the game in its current state but...let's be honest, compared to what 3.0 is going to bring, it's as if it...

Re: Stot If You Got It
Will the mule deer fawn be faster than your wolf? I can imagine this depends on how high you set the speed stat of your wolf. The video certainly seems to show them being faster if you don't use the sprint. I'd assume that like most prey, the fawn and even the adult will be ever so slightly slower ...

Re: Stand Out From the Pack!
I'm going to have to remake all my old wolves even more now, plus all the new ones I'm going to be able to make! You shouldn't have to worry about remaking your old wolves, because the WolfQuest team has it covered! Will my wolves import? WQ3 will use the same player accounts as 2.7. You’ll be able...

Welp, I got kicked for naming a pup the other day. Something I'm automatically prompted to do.
That was the weirdest experience I may have had yet.

Re: What canines have you seen?
In the past year I have seen both a coyote and a fox for the first time. The coyote was walking along a road I was driving down, one that goes through a still heavily forested area. It paused for a moment to look into the trees then kept going. I slowly drove past and went on my way. I'd heard coyot...

Re: How many wolves to kill a bear?
There's no real answer to this because predators rarely fight to the death. In fact, wolves are unusual amongst carnivores because, in Yellowstone at least, they are actually responsible for the death of other wolves more than any other factor. No other carnivores have been documented to cause as ma...

Re: What would a dispersal wolf hunt before finding a mate?
The behavior of social predators tends to vary depending on how many of their group are around, including when hunting. They tend to avoid larger prey without backup so as to not waste energy or risk injury. Wolves can vary just as much. Dispersing wolves, as the devblogs for the game have mentioned...

Re: Stand Out From the Pack!
I'm going to have to remake all my old wolves even more now, plus all the new ones I'm going to be able to make! I won't even have time to play the game because I'll be making too many wolves! Dx On another note, I wonder what the limit will be of all the mates. Unless I'm mistaken, mates seem to be...

Re: Cliff Notes
I wonder if it would be possible to use the cliffs to your advantage. They've shown where the elk AI will and will not go when traveling. Can you pin them up against the cliffs? Will they recognize there's no where to go and go into standoff mode a lot earlier?

Re: Beta Testing WolfQuest 3
Does this mean that wolfquest 3 is coming out soon? The original release date for 3.0 was actually December. But, according to the developers, general bugs and needed tweaks popped up that showed that date wasn't realistic and they went back to saying the release date was unknown, to give themselve...
