Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

Cattle Ranch in Slough Creek: The cows and calf need actual turn and walk animations, plus the models themselves could be upgraded. I also noticed some visual errors in the fence around the cows. (The cows actually look a little wonky in their current state, hahaha.) I personally think the Cattle R...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

I'm sure it's been said before on this thread in other ways, but: iTs AlL iN HoW yOu TrAIN TheM. Inherited aggression is a very real phenomenon. Also, the frequency of albinism in nature. A picture of a leucistic goose went viral in my city, but the poster mistakenly said it was albino. Then the co...

Re: All the WQ Players Summed Up

The Amateur: The new kid on the block who hasn't ever played the game before, doesn't know how to RP, doesn't even grasp the concept of herding elk so that we don't have to go as far to get food, and doesn't even know where the crossing is. This is normal for newbies, yes, but it's frustrating for e...

Re: Would a coyote eat a dead wolf?

Considering that coyotes are opportunistic, it might. I'd assume it's probably much more common for coyotes to feed on dead ungulates like elk or deer because those animals are more commonly hunted and killed, so it might not be very well documented due to how uncommon that is in the wild. But consi...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

The idea that cow milk is good for cats (it's not, it can actually give them diarrhea). The idea that bears often eat honey. While bears do eat from beehives, they are actually after the larvae and eggs of the bees and not the honey itself (though they will still eat honey sometimes, it isn't a majo...

Re: Hunting for the Hardcore

Wow. The new "Accurate" difficulty looks epic! The ability for both your wolf and the elk to do more damage is a great way to encourage players to think strategically and to really think like a wolf. The final battle where George was trying to bring down the calf while trying to avoid the mother's k...

Re: Moose

I have unfortunately never seen a moose in the wild. I can't remember if I've seen one in a zoo, I think I might have, but it's been at least a year since I've visited the zoo so my memory might be a little off. That being said, you really do have to admire them. They're the largest member of the fa...

Re: What is your favorite wild cat?

Oh man, this is a tough one. While smaller wild cats like Bobcats and servals are quite interesting, I'd still probably have to go with the tiger. Tigers are what I think of when someone says the words "Apex Predator". Tigers are the biggest of the cats anyway, so it makes sense that they're my favo...

Re: Wolf Delisting: How much more help do wolves need?

I also agree with your concern. While wolves as a species don't necessarily fit the definition of an endangered or threatened species anymore, smaller populations of them that are isolated from the rest of the main population are still vulnerable and could be easily killed off if the species is deli...

Re: We got a little carried away...

That's a lot of dead elk. I've seen more though, including one multiplayer game I joined where there were so many carcasses that the entire hunting grounds were pink when going into scent view. There were so many carcasses that the host's game crashed due to their device being unable to handle the s...

Re: Shadow Play

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans! These new distant shadows look much better, it makes the landscape look even more realistic. Also, the blooper at the end really cracked me up. It looks like that wolf was the one who trained Wapiti 3F! Hopefully nothing like that happens in the actual g...

Re: WolfQuest, Graphics Cards, and You

I have loads of respect for the developers just for considering players with graphics cards that aren't the gaming standard. The time and dedication you all take to consider all of the community is astounding. Unfortunately, I have a version of Intel graphics not listed on the list AND I'll be runn...

Re: WolfQuest, Graphics Cards, and You

Honestly, I knew my computer's graphics card was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad (for reference I have an Intel HD 4600 graphics card, and can play Wolfquest 2.7 decently on the second lowest graphics settings). But when I saw where my computer's graphics card was listed on that website, my h...

Re: Have you ever seen a wolf?

I have seen more than one wolf! I've never seen one in captivity, unlike most of you hehe. The first time I was 8 years old, hunting coyotes on our family farm. I turned around and looked up and there was a wolf 30 yards from me, just looking at me. I thought it was a giant coyote and didn't realiz...

Re: Early Access Release Date

Oh my gosh! This, this is what we've all been waiting for! This announcement came unexpectedly and much sooner than I thought it would, though my assumption for the release date wasn't far off! I thought the earliest that the new version would come out was August, and I had ambitiously thought that ...
