Re: Looking for Trouble

Actually, that's a quirk that needs refining. Once an elk's health gets real low, you have to bite it on the neck to kill it....but that darn spike kept standing up and running again, so it was very hard to get to the neck. We'll be tweaking that so it isn't so difficult. I think it's actually good...

Re: Buying a computer? Some suggestions

I sincerely apologize, Frodo1, I thought I thanked you for this response a while ago! This was the most sincere piece of knowledge I've received since my search for an upgraded system. I went to my local Best Buy and met a fellow and had got to talking about what you had shared with me, and I was a...

Re: Wildest WolfQuest Rumors You've Heard

If I recall, someone told me they found a mother cougar on Amethyst Mountain and followed her to her den, where she had cubs.

Re: Beta Testing WolfQuest 3

This is definitely the tail end of the development process, but not the end of the road just yet. This is the finishing touches/polishing stage, pretty much, where it's less about actually adding content and more about fine-tuning what's already there. That said, it's hard to say how long that'll t...

Re: Buying a computer? Some suggestions

I'm currently looking for something that can handle multi-tasking (Microsoft, music in the background, speedy internet) and support the game or larger-filed programs, allowing it to run smooth. I know laptops are slightly expensive, but if it's a little easier on my wallet, that'd be a big bonus to...

Re: Buying a computer? Some suggestions

Oh silly me, I did not even think to look at the date! Thank you PaperPaws for the heads up! Where would be a suitable forum to make a topic for the subject? I’d hate to place the topic in the wrong area! You don't even need to make a new topic-- you can ask your questions right here :) Lots of us ...

Re: Herd Any Good Names? (Help us name the elk herds!)

I must say, I agree with Beanz. Rather than naming the herds, perhaps it would be better to simply hint at their composition? It doesn't seem to matter as much which specific herd you're going after as much as it matters what the composition of the herd is. You could go after any of the larger herd...

Re: Beta Testing WolfQuest 3

@Phasoli - I'm glad I was able to give some insight into what beta testing is! It's very different than what most people expect, I feel-- and this was definitely stuff I didn't know when I first became a beta tester. I still love what I do, even though it's not exactly what I imagined it would be w...

Re: Albino wolf pup

The white pup can be unlocked by earning 15,000 experience points (2.7) or by earning 50,000 experience points (2.5). It doesn't matter what den you use, though there is a den that's unlockable with experience points as well.

Re: Night cam captures wolf hunting freshwater fish

Wow, this is really cool to see! Dani is right-- aside from the muzzle, this wolf does look a lot like a coyote, but it makes sense that it's a juvenile of a particularly small kind of wolf. In any case, very awesome! Makes me wish we could go fishing for a snack in WolfQuest :P

Re: Spawning Food and Foe

It looks great! There are actually more elk technically in the herds now than previously, which is good, especially when you have pups to feed. But you need to keep animals spawning in, since this is still a game that players want to enjoy, you don't want to have the question, "What happens if all ...

Re: What has changed?

Moved to Tips, Hints, and Help Hey, welcome back! The 2.7 version of the game is a lot more advanced than the older versions. There have been a ton of bugfixes and performance/gameplay tweaks and new features. There seems to be a decent population of players, and I know I have a big audience for my...

Re: Bite Club 2: The Elk Kicks Back

WOW. I have no words for how well this is turning out! DANG! I found myself actually flinching when the elk struck back at the wolves! Those kicks look SO much more powerful then the ones in the current game-- ouch!! Also, the way the elk actually comes after your wolf now is really scary, and I im...
