i am a cattle ranch victim too. 
it was my 1st time at the ranch so i really didnt know what to do. then i heard the dogs barking i my heard started to thud. the farmer then shot me and i jumped so high in my chair i almost fell out. w o w i didnt go there for a while after that.

in AM i usually always fight to the death. its more fun! but if im on SC i usually fight until im literally about to die then i run away.

in single player my wolf and the mate were hunting an elk and the elk killed my mate and it didnt come back to life. then my game crashed. not my best time on wolf quest.
