Would They Survive?

If a pup around 9 months was separated from their pack, would they be able to survive?

Re: Wolf Documentaries

I've also seen this one called Rise of Black Wolf, which was about a wolf who somehow got accepted into the Druid Peak Pack without getting killed. I forget his number (as he was tagged), but if you've researched the Druids you might recognize the name Casanova... That's the wolf.

Re: Cow Of The Wild

I saw it a while ago. It was cute, a bit unrealistic and weird to me, though. I think my favorite character would have to be Rocky, that annoying little bird? Gosh, he's annoying. Love him. How many episodes are there so far? I think I saw up to twenty or twenty-one...

Re: Forum changes

It's sad to see you go, Cana. I joined a year ago and now... not the best surprise, I admit. I'll wake up tomorrow and you'll be gone. WolfQuest just isn't going to be the same anymore. It's really sad; WolfQuest has literally become half my life. At least it's not gone and dead, though. Are you al...

Re: Defenders of Wildlife files Lawsuit for Wolves

Ho, hum. What's next? leaving them at the mercy of hostile anti-wolf state legislatures. This made me laugh. Wolves in the north are not endangered. Once there are two left up there, that's when we can get concerned. But that's not happening anytime in the forseeable future. This lawsuit is one of ...

Re: Yellowstone's 'Famous' Alpha Female Shot and Killed

Hunting is really not bad; it seems as if they are making sound like poaching, which is a whole other story. Hunting is legal and in most cases, nescessary. Wolves are all over the place there, and they eat a lot of elk, which people kind of depend on, and they eat livestock, which people also depe...

Re: How can we get the word out about WQ?

I think I remember seeing this thread a while ago, but maybe we could revamp the user- made commercial, or create like a WQ team to help organize ideas for funding? Sorta like this, but like a program. (That's so vague because I thought of it literally five seconds ago.) I'm not sure if this has be...

Re: Have you ever raised a wild animal?

When I was younger, my mom found a baby bird that fell out of it's nest by her work. She put it in a box and we took it to a bird place. A few weeks later we learned it was a blue jay. ...That was like five years ago.

Re: How can we get the word out about WQ?

Tee hee. I feel so proud of myself. In science, we're doing these "museum" projects due in March. My group's general topic is canines, and we're thinking about doing evolution of the modern dog. Wait, it gets better. I was telling a group-mate about a chart comparing and contrasting wolve...

Re: Wolf Management

I voted for shooting and trapping as far as effectiveness. I try not to be too antagonistic towards relocation, but the wolf will just be a problem elsewhere and would likely die there, anyway. Shooting is faster and if it is a good shot, the wolf likely wouldn't suffer. But, wolves are sly adversa...

Re: Lawsuit filed for 2009 petition overturn for Mexican gra

Exactly what you said. These guys can bicker all they want, but that's not going to help the wolves in the least.
