Re: Wolves eating blueberries

Yeah, I didn't expect this idea to gain much traction. I probably should've posted it in general wolf discussion. No need to have posted this in General Wolf Discussion as the topic discussion still pertains to the plausibility of adding a specific game feature. General Wolf Discussion is strictly ...

Re: Conservation Status of the Gray Wolf in the United States

Updated thread to reflect 01/04/21 delisting. I haven't checked this year's numbers (as they were updated last year on the thread).

Re: Should WolfQuest add the ability to hunt fish?

* If wolves in Minnesota live in a similar region and climate as wolves in Wyoming , and are not pressured into hunting fish (unlike the wolves in British Columbia), this may mean that adding fish in WQ isn't too far-fetched. They're different. While it's possible that a yellowstone wolf might go a...

Re: Why are the forums so inactive?

As of today the forums have been slightly re-organized and we on the forum side worked to make the active forums more compact. These were the changes: - Archived WolfQuest FAQ - Renamed News and Announcements/Developer's Blog (shortened the names) - Created "Your Pack" as an alternative to the #wolf...

Rules for Your Pack

This is a new forum to share information about your wolves and their character bios, pack family trees, gameplay logs, etc. We hope this can be a more in-depth alternative to the #wolf-characters Discord channel. There are no limits on number of threads you are allowed to post (e.g., you are not req...

Re: Smaller screens can adversely alter forum's appearance

Good to hear - I'm merging your posts for now since I don't think we've changed our double-post/bumping rule yet. (I usually just delete, add new information and repost to "bump" the topic, if that helps.)

Topic locked.

Re: "It’s official: Voters decide to reintroduce wolves in Colorado"

[edit] I mean, it took years to bring wolves back to Yellowstone. There were plenty of legal battles and this seems like a similar incident. People either love or hate wolves. They're called "charismatic megafauna" for a reason. ... I agree that wolf conservation should not be voted on by the gener...

Re: Issue with Friends Joining Games

Sorry for the delay - not sure if this resolved for you yet. I would have to guess that if you’re the one hosting with the more powerful machine, it’s possible that by default the game you are hosting is too much for them (regardless of your individual graphics settings)? It sounds like their system...

Re: Question about signatures

Oh, okay then. Thanks. :o I'm guessing that it's not allowed through PM either? No - anything listed in the Forum Guidelines that is not allowed is also not allowed in private messages. It’s a blanket rule. Imagine if we permitted swearing/inappropriate discussion in private messages despite it not...

Re: Issue with Friends Joining Games

I’ve never heard of this happening myself (or had it happen to me that way, though I’ve been dropped before from servers because of crashing). Have all of you tried kind of a “control” game where you *all* use the lowest graphics settings and see what happens/if that FPS warning goes away? Try this ...

Re: Smaller screens can adversely alter forum's appearance

Might this be an issue with your Edge browser? (Well, not the only issue - obviously if it’s just WolfQuest then it’s involved at some point, but I wonder if changing your browser can alleviate some of the issues.) I have a 13” inch Sager as my personal laptop and I even believe my Mac laptop is the...

Re: Tips For Telling The Personality of Mate/Pups?

Check out this very helpful Wiki page on mate and pup personalities. Regarding pup personalities: Wolf pups inherit personalities based on those of their parents. However, they are not visible to the player beyond careful observation. Even in the family tree, they are hidden and cannot be modified.

Re: Mate not helping

Hi, my wolfs health is pretty low but my mates health is at 100% so in theory, we should easily be able to bring down an elk but he refuses to help me. He usually attacks after I've attacked the elk/deer a few times but due to my low health I can't do that. Is this normal? Did I just pick a bad mat...
