- Dog's Life - Ps2
Dog's Life is a PS2 game released in Europe in 2003, and later released in America in 2004. The game begins in a rural U.S. countryside, however over the course of the game, the main character Jake will travel across the country in a quest to save his friend Daisy.

Description: Pretty sure you already know what this game's about.
Links: Obviously you don't need a link to this one.. XD - Wolf - DOS
Description: WOLF is a 1994 game made for the DOS system. It has been "abandoned", so it is now free to download. You will need a DOS emulator to play the game, however this is also free and isn't too difficult to use once you've gotten used to it. It's similar to WolfQuest, however there is more to do in WOLF. Considering it's age, the graphics aren't as nice as WolfQuest's graphics, so if pretty graphics are very important to you you may want to skip this one.

http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=83 - Impressive Title - PC (no longer online)
Description: Impressive Title was a game in which you played as a lion, however it has since been shut down and "replaced" by FeralHeart.
Links: - FeralHeart - PC
Description: FeralHeart is the "replacement" game for Impressive Title, however in this game you are given the choice between a wolf and lion character. Or both, if you want to create multiple characters. It has a large world, and you are given the ability to create your own maps for the game. There are no "realism" limits, however there is not a chat restriction either. Anyone can say whatever they want. You will need an account to play the game, and registration is often closed.. though it does open up sometimes. You'll just have to watch it if you really want to play.

http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=35442 - Okami - PS2/PS3/Wii
Description: Okami, originally released for the PS2 in 2006 (Japan and North America) and 2007 (Europe and Australia), is an action-adventure game that mixes several Japanese myths, legends, and folklore to tell its story. It was later released for the Wii in 2008 (North America, Europe, and Australia) and 2009 (Japan), and again in 2012 for the PS3.

http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21259 - Brother Bear - PC
Description: Based on the Disney film "Brother Bear", this game allows the player to fully immerse themselves in Kenai's world. Players play as bears, however they can also transform into wolves, crows, and eagles. There are seven characters to choose from, all from the film.
Links: - Spirit the Stallion of Cimmaron - PC
Description: Based on the film of the same name, this game has you play as Spirit, who comes back after gathering fruit for his herd to see that they have been kidnapped. Over the course of the game, you will find and rescue different horses from Spirit's herd, in addition to nursing Rain back to health. It's a fairly old game (released in 2002), and has been discontinued by the manufacturer, so it may be difficult to get a copy of it if you want to play - especially if Amazon sells out.
Links: - The Endless Forest - PC
Description: The Endless Forest is a pretty unique game - you play as a deer with a human face, and you are able to get different masks, pelts, and antlers through different "spells". There is no goal or plot to the game, nor is there an actual "chat". Players interract with each other using different sounds and body language. There are some events that happen, however for the most part the game is "about" exploring a magical forest.
Links: http://tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/ - Lion - DOS
Description: Made by the same company that created WOLF, Lion is very similar to WOLF, but with lions. Also, just like with WOLF, you'll need a DOS emulator to play it. It was released in 1995, so don't expect fancy graphics or anything like that from it. Still, if you enjoyed WOLF you might like Lion. Worth a try.
Links: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/1020/Lion.html
http://www.dosbox.com/ - Zelda: Twilight Princess - Wii/Gamecube (able to transform into a wolf)
Description: One of the many games in the Legend of Zelda series, Twilight Princess gives you the ability to transform into a wolf. The majority of the game is not played as a wolf, however, so keep that in mind.
Links: http://www.zelda.com/tp/ - I of the Dragon - PC
Description: I of the Dragon is a pretty rare kind of game - the kind where you get to play as a dragon. Basically, you fly around as one of three dragons (although if you choose to play the demo version, only one dragon is available) eating/clawing/burning/freezing/electrifying/otherwise killing things. It does get a bit repetitive, though it's pretty good if you have anger to let out or something =D
Links: http://www.i-dragon.com/index_eng.htm - Spore - PC
Description: Spore is another unique game. In it, you go through five stages of evolution - cell, creature, tribal, civilization, and finally space. The plot is whatever you want it to be - the Space stage does have some story to it, however for the most part you can do whatever you want and make whatever you want.
Links: http://www.spore.com/ftl - Venture Africa - PC
Description: In Venture Africa, you create an ecosystem. That's about it. It's actually a pretty interesting game. Your ecosystem is created by buying and breeding animals, and then balancing the food and water needs of each species.
Links: http://www.pocketwatchgames.com/wildlife-tycoon-games - Venture Arctic - PC
Description: Venture Africa, but in the arctic.
Links: http://www.pocketwatchgames.com/venture-arctic - Godzilla - Too many to list
Description: Not sure what game this is supposed to be, as there are a lot of different Godzilla games.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla_video_games - Jaws: Unleashed - PS2/Xbox/PC
Description: Inspired by the 1975 film Jaws, Jaws: Unleashed allows the player to control a shark that has been attracted to an island that had recently benefited from a population increase. I can't actually find the website for this game, and I'm having trouble finding a place to buy it, so have fun looking for it if you want it.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaws_Unleashed - The Dog's Island - PS2/Wii
Description: This game has the player controlling a dog on a journey for a special flower, which will help cure its sick sibling. You can customise the dog, as well, with the ability to choose its breed, colour, gender, and name in addition to the sibling's gender.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dog_Island
- Wolfteam - PC
Description: Wolfteam is a first-person shooter that gives players the ability to switch between a human and werewolf form. Humans have more weapons than werewolves, giving them a bit of an advantage in long-range combat, however werewolves are faster, stronger, and more durable. You do need an account to play it, however it's also free-to-play.
Links: http://wolfteam.aeriagames.com/ - Dragon Spirit - Too many to list
Description: Dragon Spirit is a vertical side-scrolling shooter game, in an arcade style. You play as a blue dragon, on a quest to rescue a princess. It was originally released in 1987, but it's been re-released multiple times to be playable on different consuls, the most recent of these being the XBox 360.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Spirit - Arctic Tale - Nintendo DS/Wii
Description: Loosely based on the National Geographic documentary of the same name, this game is about trying to survive while playing as a polar bear, walrus, killer whale, or arctic fox.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_Tale_(video_game)
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Downloadable species and default species) - PC/PS3/Xbox 360
Description: Oblivion isn't like any of the other games on here, except for maybe Morrowind. It's an open-world RPG, with a pretty deep story. I'd recommend reading the linked Wikipedia article for it, because it's way too long for this thread. It also isn't really an "animal game" like most of the other games on this list, but there are some animal things that gets it on here.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_ ... :_Oblivion
http://www.elderscrolls.com/oblivion/ - Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (Expansion pack = Bloodmoon) - PC/Xbox
Description: Morrowind is much like Oblivion - same series, same world, etc. Morrowind, however, takes place before Oblivion. If you have the Bloodmoon expansion pack for it, you will be able to play as a werewolf, transforming every night.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_ ... _Morrowind
http://www.elderscrolls.com/morrowind/ - Savage: The Ultimate Quest for Survival - PC
Description: You play a lion and are given the task to survive. From the review I've found, it sounds like the real challenge is just surviving how bad it is.
Links: http://www.gamespot.com/savage-the-ulti ... w-2532898/ - Deadly Creatures - Wii
Description: Apparently you get to choose between playing a male scorpion or a female tarantula, and get to fight other arachnids, insects, rats, and reptiles. Not much else to it.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadly_Creatures - Ecco the Dolphin series - Many games, many platforms
Description: You're a dolphin and you have to save the world. Really weird but interesting plots, like aliens invading an Earth ruled by both dolphins and humans. Defender of the Future is a really fun game, don't know about the others though since I haven't played them.

Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feeding_Fr ... ideo_game) - Reign of Fire (dragon in certain missions.) - Gameboy Advance, XBOX, GameCube, PS2
Description: Apparently there was a movie called Reign of Fire, and they made a game based off of it. You get to play a dragon in some missions, though in others you play as a human.
Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reign_of_Fire_(video_game)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0253556/?ref_=sr_1 - Web Earth Online - PC
Description: You get to play as an animal and survive. With other people. In your browser. Really old browser game, though. I looked at the FAQ and one of the questions is, "What if I'm on AOL?" My grandparents were the only people left in this world who used AOL, and they recently upgraded to something that isn't a thousand years old. That is how old this game is. It's still going, though.
