WolfQuest 2.7.2 Kindle Edition Crashing Issues
Hi.
I recently got the full WolfQuest game on my Kindle Fire, and pretty much everything is working fine. Except for the crashing issues.
1.If my game gets the tiniest bit too laggy, then it crashes.
2. Whenever I'm about to have pups (both Single-Player and Multiplayer) the happy music plays for about half a second, then the game crashes.
The second one is especially upsetting, because the main reason that I wanted the full game in the first place was to have pups. Now, I have to go into Multiplayer and "scavenge" for servers where pups have already been born to even play with pups at all.
EDIT: 10/16/2016- I found out how to get past the crashing issue in single-player which made me unable to have pups, by letting the game crash the first time then loading the autosave the second time, which oddly enough lets me have pups without the game crashing. In Multi-player, the game sometimes crashes at the having-pups part, and sometimes it doesn't. However, the game sometimes crashes at random times for no reason. (Which is why I save about every minute-and-a-half during Single-player, Slough Creek mission, lol) What's VERY weird is that my game NEVER crashes when I'm playing in Amethyst Mountain. It crashes everywhere else, Lost River especially, when I head on down to the town or the abandoned neighborhood I lag like crazy and my game crashes a few seconds later.

What model/year of Kindle Fire do you have?
Latest/biggest (?) device for comparison points:
Kindle Fire HDX 8.9:
RECOMMENDED DEVICES:
The game requires a Android phone or tablet with a fairly powerful graphics card and at least 1.5GB of RAM. Not sure about your device? Download the game for free and see how it runs before purchasing. Note that on some low-power graphics cards, the terrain is pixellated in certain areas, due to their limited power.

Unfortunately, I don't know and I don't think I have a way of telling.

Hmmm... okay, I have a really weird serial number. It doesn't match any of those.. o.o But right above where the serial number is, it says that my device model is a Fire (5th Generation).

Re: WolfQuest 2.7.2 Kindle Edition Crashing Issues
Looking online into a "fifth generation Fire", it looks like you're working with a 2015 Fire. I found a list of specs from Amazon here. Specs for the 2015 version of the HD 8 are at the bottom here. Specs for all versions seem to vary a bit, but even if you're not 100% sure which one you have, that might help you get an idea? If it just says Fire (fifth generation) then I personally would assume it's the normal Fire and not the HD 8 or 10, but unfortunately I don't have one on hand to check what it'd say, nor can I find images of that particular bit of info.

Re: WolfQuest 2.7.2 Kindle Edition Crashing Issues
Mkay, I'll have to look at that another time. On Amazon I noticed a WolfQuest review with somebody having the same problem as me- the game crashing when having pups. I figured out how to have pups without the game crashing when I have them, but I'm still a bit concerned.

Re: WolfQuest 2.7.2 Kindle Edition Crashing Issues
I've been reading the reviews too and the problem is occurring to more than just one person with Kindle Fire and other mobile devices. Please report the issues you are having in detail to bugs@wolfquest.org and use this thread to help you. If the users who are having trouble with the game do not send reports in, the problem will take longer to solve or not be solved at all (if it can even be solved-- it may be an issue with the versions/models everyone is using). Sending in a report will be very helpful to the team. Thanks.Sunset-Light wrote:Mkay, I'll have to look at that another time.
