Im not sure but are you talking about when there are lots of scents connected and when you follow one it says that your getting further away? cause this has happened to me on several occasions.

Elk are set to regenerate in the same places, think about how long it would take to program different locations for elk to appear!

I see what your talking about now. Yeah i noticed that too. The Elk being in the same place every time, but i think thats how its suppose to be.

By the way- that saying about Earth's Manager was good. lol

That happens to me too. I don't see the trail until the last second when i can see them already. I think now its just a waste of time looking for the trail. Now i know you just need to go to the big part of the river.

It happens to me occasionally. Though they do show up in the 'same' place several times in a row they aren't always in the same place every time for me. There comes a time when they appear somewhere else for me which I sometimes find frustrating. x3 Since I have to go hunt them down rather than go to my spot.

That always happens to me! Even on single player! It's annoying... but makes it easier! xD Also, some times on multiplayer... the elk freeze in place,in the lake... then, when you kill them, they dissapear in the lake.

Yeah, though it may be annoying at times being able to predict where the elk go is accually very helpful. For me it allows me to hunt easier; knowing where the elk will go lets you rest more.

for me, the elk are always in the same place, but there's always a trail leading to them.

Well their should be a trail leading to them, it's to help you find them. Though, if they are always in the same place I doubt you would need it; but notheless. Either way being able to predict where the herd will be or, as in my case, where they will go when you chase after them; it's always helpful to have the knowledge to predict them. Things go a lot smoother.

I agree, it's a lot easier if you can predict the elk. I have it too where the elk are always in the river in the same place. Even the trails are always the same!
I'm back after three years. Wow.

It does make it easier when the elk are predictable because you can surprise them! xD

The elk are very predictable. I always seem to find them in the same place. But, they are easier to catch if you know where they'll be running.

the same thing happens to me, they always appear on the same spot with no scent trail till the last moment, i thought it was just me with that problem but i guess theres others too

Sometimes you don't see a scent trail when your near the elk. Which can be confusing if you rely on them rather than know where they are. I've noted before that sometimes it just depends on where you come into the hunting grounds. Scent trails usually start up before you soon after entering the hunting grounds. Though I suppose the scent trails only lead out in certain directions.

Either way you find them eventually.
