I don't mind much of the Cattle Ranch; I don't find it very helpful, but it is a nice little contribute^^
Mainly I only visit when I haven't chosen a den, because then I don't have to worry about my pups, what-with a no brained mate like my own, so I just do it for fun. So in conclusion, I don't find it helpful, but I'm glad it was added. A new challenge and a new food source!

Yeah, it can become chaotic when the dog starts to bark.
I don't like it when it barks either. I find it hard to locate the calf sometimes so when the dog starts to bark I have to high tail it out of there and most times it's hard to find the purple mist in time.

I do enjoy being at the cattle ranch, as it takes place in a different time of the day, giving the day a different aspect. I do find it somewhat helpful, though this would depend which den I choose to use as such, due to where it is located at.

Plus I would find chasing and killing an elk much more easier than going to the cattle ranch, because while there you pretty much have to be completelt wary of those cows to avoid starting them mooing, thus getting the dogs barking.

Though when I don't feel like hunting as such, I will go to the cattle ranch, so yes, to me it is a nice addition into the game ^^

The cattle ranch is in Slough Creek ^^ You can take a look at this quote on how to get there and what do to:
I am having trouble with the cattle ranch (the night mission)! Where is it? How can I get to it? What do I do once I'm there?

The Cattle Ranch mission (also referred to as 'the night mission') is available after you have puppies. On your compass, you will see a fence icon. Follow that fence icon until the ranch pop up comes up. (It is on the right side of the map, just above the creek.) Once you are in the ranch, your job is to sneak in and kill the calf that is inside. Press X to jump over the fence. Once inside the enclosure, press Shift + W (or the forward arrow key) to stalk. Try not to get too close to the adult cows, or they will moo and attract the attention of the rancher (alternatively, they will chase you out if you continue to get closer to them.). Look for the calf inside the enclosure - it is smaller than the others. Go up to it and kill it. If, at any time, you hear barking in the background, quickly get away! If you fail to leave the ranch in time (through the purple cloud), you will be shot by the rancher. Good luck!

I think it's useful, because you can get easy food if you live in the Aspen, but the only problem is the farmer, he shoots you when you try to escape if the dogs start barking.

The cat went here and there
And the moon spun round like a top,
And the nearest kin of the moon,
The creeping cat, looked up.

I liked it, I thought it was fun to have a night scene like that, it's also fun to see some new animals.

its not helpful to me because ..
1. i die most of the time
2. most of my dens are not near the ranch
and 3. it lags my computer

but other than that you do get alot of food but its just not that helpful to me

I don't really find it helpful since i usually hunt for food.I do find it very fun though because it's challenging :) .
In the cold breeze that I walk along
The memories haunt me
Been forever since I cried the pain and sorrow
I live and die, proud of my people gaining

I'm standing at the edge
starin up at where the moon should be
Until my soul starts howling
Stray!

It wasn't helpful or unhelpful to me. My favorite den is the Saddle Meadows den and I always live there, so needless to say it isn't a remote source of food for me. :)

The one time I did go there, however, was interesting. I traveled all the way across the valley just to go there, leaving my mate Whisper to take care of the pups. It was new and interesting there to see new animals and a new time of day, as this was already my 3rd time playing the game. It was fairly easy to find and kill the calf, which I was able to do even without catching the dog's attention. Perhaps he was sleeping? :) Either way, I grabbed an easy meal and got out of there, but what happened afterward was not helpful at all. Whisper, who was always faithful and watched over the pups when I didn't, had followed me across the meadows and was feasting on a carcass just down the hill! My pups nearly starved that day. But all in all, I'd say that the cattle ranch was an interesting change of hunting, although I find hunting or scavenging much easier since I live so far away.
