I've never really found the ranch useful. And I don't really think it is unless your den is close enough to it.
I even have the latest version of the game ans the food I get there doesn't carry over. I mainly go there if there is nothing to do for the moment.

Even with v. 2.0.3, i don't think they're helpful, When I go there, imagine i don't have food for my pups, so i go there to eat meanwhile my health is 75% (rough estimate) so i fill up and escape in time, i have food for my pups but my health is still at 75% when i return, so whats the point of me going there? I have re-uploaded the game and it still glitches, i will report it if i know others are having this problem. :?

well, for me its not the most helpful thing in the world. It is fun, yes, but i voted no on the poll because it did not help me at all! every time i go there, the extra food does not carry over, which im a bit disapionted in. :(

Okay. I voted 'Yes'.

The point is, though, is that the Cattle Ranch is helpful - depending on the area that you're staying, the circumstances, the desperation of the situation, and many other things. It's just one of those things that, also depending on the person, varies. Maybe I've never found it "helpful" or not, but it poses a challenge and helps you break away from the overall carcasses and suchlike. It gives you a sort of... well, it really gives you the feel of a wolf's life. Somethings might happen and, well, wolves will hunt livestock.

I like the idea, and I really appreciate the concept and thing itself as a whole. I think the WolfQuest team did a brilliant job on it - but hey, that's just me!

Yes, also. WolfQuest provides them to be helpful too, so they've certianly been a good job. It doesn sort out the food situation if you near by, however I would never waste the journy from, lets say Canyon Cliffs to the Cattle Ranch, it would waste to much energy, also. Your pups could get in danger at that time.

I guess it is depending on where your den is.

I voted 'no', probably because I'm not bothered to go there yet, plus my wolf hasn't died before and I'd like to keep it that way.
Anyways, reading through the posts, I kind of want to go there and change my vote to yes >.>

I think it would be helpful if you live close to to the cattle ranch. It may not be so helpful if you live far away from it like in Saddle Meadows. If you live on Saddle Meadows,You might only want to go to the ranch when there's no choice. (Like if there's no elk carcasses nearby.)

So it really depends if you live close to the Cattle Ranch or not, or if there's no elk carcasses near the den.

No i hate it like when you kill the calf and finish eating it the farmer comes and shoots you and if you manage to survive the food never transfers over >:|

My main wolf is in Saddle Meadows, so by the time I get to the Cattle Ranch and back, half my pups have died from starvation. I think you should only go there if you have Aspen Heights or East Creek. Even then, it's easier and faster to scavenge elk carcasses. So no, I don't think the Cattle Ranch is helpful. I do think it's fun, though. :)

If you live in Apsen or the East Creek Den the I think its a good way to pass time.
Other than passing time it't a terrible way to get food! I live in Saddle meadows too,
and my pups all died by the time I came back. Oh, and I also realized the food didnt even transfer over!

I like the cattle ranch for two reasons: it gives me a chance to escape from my crazy family and it allows me to get food fast and easily. My mate is always "I'm hunting I'm hunting." and he just leaves me at the den. So the moment he comes back, it's off to the ranch for this wolf! And I don't have the latest version, I have the one that came out in January, and the food transfers over just fine. (And as long as I don't get anywhere near the cows, I usually don't get shot.)
