(What about a Hare?)

I would be a coyote, because well... They look like miniature wolves x3 I would be the kind that doesn't kill off pups, but I would hunt down any other small creature that crossed my path.

I would be a eagle. Because... you can fly and get a better look off everything. I've always wanted a game where you play has a eagle and that the game has good graphics and stuff..xD

I'd probably be a bear honestly. Few animals tend to bother you and, besides wolves of course, they seem to be along the apex of the food chain.
I think it'd be fun to play as a bear!

I'd like to be a coyote. It would be fun to run around with my coyote gang harassing wolf packs in their territories and feasting on un-guarded wolf pups

Coyotes are cool. I hope that Eduweb makes a game called CoyoteQuest. Leaving the pack, finding a mate, have pups, team up to hunt 2x faster pronghorn antelopes. How cool!

i would love to be an elk. i'm okay with being either a cow or a bull, but it really depends on my mood. i have a few ungulate characters as well as some cervus characters, so i have a mild affinity to these types of creatures.

Actually, a wolfquest-style rabbit simulator is something I'd love to play. Probably because I'm such a fan of Watership Down and don't have the decency to be properly ashamed.

Ooh, I'd be a coyote, going around killing everyone's pups and annoying them! Or you could go in groups of twos and just hang around peoples' dens and totally stress them out...

Being an eagle does seem pretty cool too though, then you could fly around and freak people out during the summer journey!

Playing as a cougar or bear would be awesome. Really any of them could be fun, like what OP said about bears fishing etc.
