Both are good, when I am on a server with unknown people, I end up roleplaying, but when I am with my friends, I chat. :3

I usually want to chat. If there is a hunt, I will join, but I think it's more exiting if I hunt alone. (Or with a mate, who seems to always be faster than me.)
Sleep is very important. Without it, we can't think straight. If you think you're normal without any sleep, be careful.

In fact, I almost never chat unless it's with good friends. I roleplay all the time, and in roleplays sometimes remember someone/enjoy talking to them, and we meet alot. Then in some random chat i create alot of my friends come in and we talk.
But seriously - to me roleplaying.

Never a talkative person, I prefer roleplaying to chat. I find it very fun to try to act as a wolf would. It's just really frustrating when I join a roleplay and the other wolves have powers, aren't realistic, or are looking for "meats." I rarely find a good roleplaying server anymore.

I like to chat because some times if I rp some random people just randomly rp and some of them hunt elk or what ever animals they find I told them it's rp and they just don't care -_- so... I think chatting is my type.

I like both rp and chat, but both are quite hard since some words end up like '???'.

It depends on my mood, too. If I am sick of WQ glitches, I join a random game and we stand around chatting about nothing at all (like in FH). Example of one of the most boring chats ever:

Other1: Hey
Me: Hey
Me: How you
Other1: Good you
Me: Fine
Other2: Fun
Me: Oh

Other days, I might be in sort of the mood for WQ, and join a random chat game (that works). Then I and the others would do random things AND chat.

Other1: Hi!
Me: Hey there!
Other2: We are going to the water!
Me: Coming!
(wolves meet up at Slough Creek)
Me: Lets do tricks
Other1: yeah!
Other2: Moonwalk
(other2 walks backwards in a circle)
Me: obstacle course
(wolf jumps over a log)
Other1: Dive in water!
(other1 walks into Slough Creek and the water goes over the wolf's head)

Or I may just be into rping, but I'll only rp realistic wolves. I find it rather irritating if one spends all his time describing something with this kind of markings, etc, etc, etc. Ex rp:

Other1: Jumps on leopard
(wolf jumps in air next to other wolf)
Other2 Goat is attacked!
(wolf lies down)
Me: What's going on?

So there's my preferences! Sorry for the extra long post, just had to give some examples. ;)

The last one is hilarious.
Chatting and roleplaying are both good, but in my opinion, roleplaying tops it. It's like a whole new way to play WolfQuest multiplayer.
