Any Special Keys?

Post by Koa » Thu Mar 08, 2012 4:15 pm

Does anyone have a particular key they changed to do something, i.e. howling or moving around? I've changed my screenshot key to F9 and in the past I've had leaping set up as the ctrl key. Post here if you've changed your keys or prefer to keep them the same as the game's defaults. :)

I like the idea Koa. ^^ hadn't thought about this sort of topic before..
As for me, I generally keep all my keys the same as the game default controls, although I have changed my bowing and wagging tail keys to a more prominent button for each. But this change didn't last long due to me realizing that I still had the habit to use the other set keys from before.. I suppose if you plan on changing keys for the game, it should be done before you memorize the current key positions. c:

And I hadn't realized you could change your screenshot keys.. I may have to change my key settings for that to something easier and quicker. ^^

I currently keep all my keys at their default settings. Although after spilling juice on my keyboard and doing a 'quick fix', the 'q' key has become slow and rigid. I might change that one :P .

Nice topic Koa. I once change my key settings so everything was the opposite of what it was suppossed to be. It was entertaining for the first few minutes, then I got angery when I started running into trees. Now I just keep it to the default settings. I'm so accustomed to them that changing them now would confuse me. x3

I never attempted to change the keys. The thought really never crossed my mind...I may have switched one key before, but it was one that the game didn't use.
...If that makes sense, of course. x3

personally i think the option to set your own keybindings would be the best solution

But if the game allows you to select your own key for each function in the game, are keybindings necessary?

I was forced to change the options key to L, because after a little "accident" on the keyboard, the Esc key stopped working so I switched to the L. But all other keys are default.

Like others, I just stick to the default settings for keys, because I've become so accustomed to an action's association with a certain key. I did try switching them up a little bit, but I couldn't navigate around and perform tasks as quickly as I could before, as I kept pressing the incorrect buttons.

The only key I've changed is the headcam key, which I changed to just 9 since I do not have a number pad on my laptop. Besides that, all of my keys are default.

Your controls and key settings can be changed on the wolfquest configuration screen that appears right when you select your wolfquest game icon. Simply select the tab labeled "Input". Here you will find all the set keys for each control. Double click whichever one you wish to change and follow the instructions from there. ;)

Today I changed the bite/eat/pick up pup key to the right Shift key, because it wouldn't work as my space key. Odd, because it's working fine now. Might be more convenient on an elk hunt though, as I use the arrow keys for moving.
