Hello there, and welcome to the home topic of The Monthly Howl, WolfQuest's very own community-run newspaper! Every month or so, the team will produce a newspaper stocked with articles and other interesting items about the happenings of WolfQuest, from helpful guides and tips for the newer users, to more in-depth dissections of the game and forums for those who have been around for quite a few months or years. M e e t T h e E d i t o r s .
The Editors are always open to suggestions, comments and questions, so feel free to enquire about anything at all. Don't be hesitant, if you've got a problem just let me know! Nikoi Gryphon was previously an Editor of the newspaper, however, she has resigned due to lack of time. Seranda7 was the founder and previous owner of the newspaper, so the origins of the WolfQuest Newspaper are fully credited to her. We thank them both for their contributions and efforts with the Monthly Howl.
N e w s p a p e r C o n t e n t s .
Wondering what you will find in the newspaper? For each edition, our team works together to create articles about what's happening around the forums, upcoming board events, and singleplayer and multiplayer gameplay. The Journalists will also submit interviews, art and literature features, and a range of other items. We also accept advertisements for groups in Pack Central, avatar shops, signature shops and other topics that concentrate on community projects or organisations. The Graphics Team will supply various pieces for you to appreciate, which may include anything from game screenshots to comics about WolfQuest.

We currently do not have any major events or articles upcoming for The Monthly Howl, but watch this space for any interesting previews.
M e e t T h e T e a m .
These users are a team of people with advanced writing or graphics skills; they have passed the several application tests for their required position. They are the members who create the contents of the newspaper according to their tasks.
The Editors.
The Editors are the head of the newspaper. They organise and compile everything, and have the final say on all decisions. They overview each article, help the team out, answer any enquiries, give the outline for some articles, and will contribute items to the newspaper every now and then.

The Journalists.
The Journalists make up the majority of the team. They compose the articles, organise interviews, arrange features, as well as a variety of other tasks. Some members of this position may specialise in certain types of writings more than others, and have taken the corresponding application tests. The Journalists are an essential part of the newspaper, and they must be dedicated and consistent with their workings to ensure a steady outflow of good-quality articles.

The Graphics Team.
The Graphics Team are a slightly smaller group of the newspaper and focus solely on images and artwork. Each edition they are responsible for collecting screenshots and adding in any other form of illustration or whatnot, and, every so often, some team members in this position will be assigned a piece of community art to feature. The Graphics Team will also be consulted in regards to the layout and other visual properties when compiling the newspaper.

A p p l i c a t i o n P r o c e s s .
After submitting your initial application form for your desired position, you will be required to complete and satisfactorily pass a test. This will be in relevance to the section of the team you are applying for, to determine whether you are capable. The testing for the Journalists will cover a wide range of things, including basics such as grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as the extent of your vocabulary and where you specialise in regards to writing topic and style. Application tests for the Graphics Team concentrates on the basics mentioned earlier, in accompaniment to a request for some examples of your work, especially whatever you wish to focus on. Once you are completely accepted and announced as a Journalist on this topic, you will be sent additional information about article submittance and the such.

F r e e l a n c e .
Would you like to contribute to the newspaper, but don't really have the time to commit each month? You can always do a freelance article or art piece! With freelancing, you have the freedom to choose whatever subject you want and/or what ever kind of art you want. All you need to do is, of course, create the item and then send it to one of the Editors for review and you're done. Your work will be credited and included in the Monthly Howl for the community to appreciate.

The Monthly Howl can advertise your pack, shop or community topic for you. You may choose what the advertisement will say and you also have the option to include an image. Content or images may be resized if space becomes an issue. Simply PM the following form to an Editor and you will recieve notification about whether your advertisement can be included.
