Running around or doing missions?

Post by psy » Wed Feb 05, 2014 9:34 am

Lock this topic if this is a repeat.

So, I know some people would rather do what they want instead of playing missions in WolfQuest single player. Others are the opposite. So, which would YOU prefer? Running around, doing whatever you want? Or playing the game straight?

If I'm on sp. I'll usually just play around or I'll do the mate quest then play around in slough creek.

I finished the game about four times, so that leaves me with free time. I just start a game without customizing my wolf and just walk around, hunting elk.

I like to run around and explore before and between missions. Hunting is one of my favourite pastimes during the den finding mission.

Usually I take my time in Amethyst Mtn; hunting elk, exploring and visiting other territories before I go looking for a mate. In Slough Creek I usually just run through the mission once my wolf pair has the four pups. I find that the pups require constant feeding and chasing away predators so my wolf is kept busy.

After playing through the main 'campaign' modes a number of times, I prefer just running around. There's a lot of cool things to go out and find in both maps, and with the new-ish weather and time system, the game always gives you a little something to liven up the envoirnment!

I find the neediness of the pups to be quite annoying. It's part of the reason I put off the springtime missions; I'd have a starving litter two minutes after leaving the den.

In Slough Creek, I do the missions (you kind of have to I guess). In Amethyst Mountain, it depends.

By "missions" I assume the poster meant quests you are given in the game, such as "find a mate".

Yeah, I meant quests. Some people call them missions for some reason :? But yeah, quests.

I've used to just play the game over from start to finish. Normally in less than half an hour. Mainly other times I try and hunt with and without a mate and see what the highest points I get until I am bored.
Since I don't play multi-player anymore, I kind of don't know what I would do.

It varies on what I'm in the mood for now-a-days. I used to be nuts about playing the game. Now I my mood for things I used to do has changed. Not quite sure why, it just happened that way. I still play when ever I have time though. And when there is people on. I quest for a little while then take a break.

Quest mode or Sandbox?

Post by Pelican » Mon Jun 08, 2015 10:03 am

When you're playing singleplayer WolfQuest do you just do whatever (sandbox) or follow the storyline? Or a bit of both? I usually do sandbox and then if I feel like it I'll follow the storyline.
