WolfQuest and Guiness World Records

Guiness World Records not only makes books on records, GWR also makes books on VIDEO GAME records.
As I was reading the latest copy of Guiness World Records: Gamer's Edition, I thought, How about WolfQuest gets in the books?
Why not try to set some world records for WQ? Fastest completion, most O.P. wolf, etc.
Feel free to post your feelings about this here.

  • Hmm, this might be tough Derp-Bacon, because don't forget we have to compete against other games in the same categories.

I don't know this for sure, but maybe WolfQuest was the first video game to be funded by a National Science Foundation grant?

Well, do you mean the actual world records book, or our own little records thread? Because, sorry to be a downer, WolfQuest won't win anything in the Guiness book. There are too many more popular games that people know about and those are the ones that win the records.

However, a little records topic sounds fun. Like, quickest user to beat the game, most xp points, etc.

First 3D wolf game?

First game where your pups are eaten by coyotes, eagles and grizzly bears? XD

Find me a game where that happens, and I will be genuinely astonished.

The thing is... "Wolf" is such a broad label that werewolf games and the like can be thrown into the mix. Technically it's not the first 3D wolf game.
I second making a WolfQuest record thread though. It sounds like it could be fun, and I simply don't see WQ getting any records, despite its charm.

"Longest un-updated Multiplayer PC game" [that still has players playing it] <-- could be a winner lol
"Most popular educational game"

How about "Most popular wildlife game"? :)

Wolfquest isn't that popular, as wildlife games go :(

Edit:
On September 2006, The National Science Foundation awarded the Minnesota Zoo and Eduweb a USD $508,253 informal education grant to develop WolfQuest. This makes it the first video game funded by the National Science Foundation, under grant number 0610427.

I found that on Wikipedia, a record for sure! ^o^

Please do not double post, duskypack. If you have something to add, please edit your previous post instead of posting twice in a row.

As a tip, if you notice you've posted already and don't want to double-post, just copy the content from your old post and then delete the actual post. Then paste the old information and update it in a new post. :)

I'm not sure about your chances for a record of that magnitude, but if you wanted to start off small, you could probably keep the records local to the WolfQuest community and game and see how it goes. Who knows... maybe if the tablet version is popular, you might have the potential to pull from a larger population of players.
