Try going into the game options and clicking on 'alternate water reflections'.

I think its a graphics card related issue, and I don't think its on our end. Its up to the developer of the water reflection asset to fix it.

Solitary, this glitch/bug is occurring in the windows version as well, even if you have the alternate water on.
I don't know if it's my graphics card, but the game runs smoothly on beautiful graphics and fancy, along with shadows and the alternate water.
I do agree, it's up to the developer to fix it, but I was just wondering if that's another bug.

EDIT: I found out how you can fix it. If you mark and un mark the alternate water, the problem should be fixed. At least mine got fixed.

I have that problem too with the water graphics whenever I turn that option on. I'm using Windows. So I guess it's an actual bug? Or is it graphic cards after all?

By the way, when I ran into the water I noticed the plashing sound and I was like: ''EEEEEP!! :'D'' So excited!
And I dunno what creature it is suposed to be, but I often hear this scream in the game, it sounds like a mixture of a crying human baby, a bird and an animal being tortured... o.o

Edit: Rain-song beat me to it, aaah. xD

You asked for it:
Well, I guess the human/alien creature dying, are bulls fighting? I dunno. I'm more into wolf ecology. (Please correct me if I'm wrong).
Now about that bug again, it might actually be the graphics card, (even if I have a pc of 2012).
But it's no big deal, compared to the older version of WQ (version 2.5). The bugs were so many. I would be delighted if this was the only bug in WQ 2.7.
Now about something else, I might went a bit off topic, (you may move my post in the appropriate place if it's needed), when we join a multiplayer game in the current version (2.5) sometimes the game freezes on you, is this a bug of this version? Or is it a connection problem of the host or the other player?

You and your secrets, Solitary! Guess that means I'll have to scour the map more

And yes, the screech/dying alien noise is actually the sound elk make. I highly recommend you search up elk bugling on YouTube, it's hilarious and mildly disturbing. There's another similar noise in the game which I think is coyotes howling? I only hear it at night I believe.

Oh wow, they are really hilarious! The noise they make made me hit myself against my desk, I was laughing so hard XD
Oh and about that howl/sound at night you heard, i believe it's coyotes as well, not 100% sure though.

Depends. Post a thread in Tips, Hints and Help if you haven't already with more detail and we will try to help you with your problem.

Yeah, they're elk bugles.

I think its a beautiful sound...kind of haunting like a wolf's howl.

Looooove the demo. You did such a great job on how the game looks. Such an imporovement from WQ2.5. I am, just like many others, strill searching for a mate. :p But I do not have that much exp yet. I do wonder what you can actually do with the exp you gain. Does it make your stats better too? ;p

No, it doesn't affect your stats. It's required to find a mate, and like 2.5 if you get enough exp, you can name your pups, unlock the bonus den, and unlock the white pup.

Lucky XD I have a desktop with Nvidia Geforce 9800GT and it runs less than smooth on good, dont even get me started with beautiful and fantastic haha. Though it did come out in 2008 so its pretty outdated. I'm getting a laptop with a newer Nvidia card though, so im hoping it'll run at least beautiful setting. By the way, that alternate reflection water goes away if i uncheck it in the settings. Idk if that works for other people.
What graphics card do you have?
