The WolfQuest Team (or maybe just Dave) seems to like placing/hiding boots in their maps...so try looking for a boot?
Haha yes, all the boots. <3

If there is a boot in LR would anyone want to give me a hint?

(you know, I haven't found a boot in any of the maps yet lol. I'm apparently incapable of finding a nice smelly boot. So hey if you wanna give me hints to where the boots are in all the maps I wouldn't say no.)

The question is: where is everyone now, and are they still alive?? It almost feels like nature's taking over civilization, and that doesn't usually happen very quickly after something as big as an evacuation!
I was thinking the same thing, actually.Where did the people go to? Are they alive? Will they ever dare return to Lost River?
I mean, you could always assume they're dead or that humankind is dying off - or maybe it's only a section of the world that had to evacuate. But things are so vague you can't really tell whether the human race is still alive in LR!
While I went searching around by the edge of downtown by Hank's ditch and the bridge, I followed a road to a fenced area with a sign that held bonded atoms together. I forget what the sign itself says, but it basically hints that the fenced area could be some kind of nuclear research center... The warning signs on the fences seemed to confirm that. perhaps that contributed to the sudden evacuation?

Guys come on "chernobyl" "nuclear reactors" "evacuation" "animals return to chernobyl" "wolves thriving in radioadrive sites" any of those ring a bell?

Haha yeah, it's like the recreation of Chernobyl, I'm leaning on that.
(Though I don't have the game myself, I'm judging from the photos I've seen).

Agreed. I don't have the game myself, but evidence from what I've heard and seen is pointing towards this....

Nuclear beavers. The beavers are still a thing. >D
(The beavers are getting old, but I still like the joke/idea~)

I haven't heard about all this beaver talk in game. I guess I've got more exploring to do...

Well in Lost River there is a beaver dam and you can hear the beavers in the water plashing their tales and such. c;

It only just dawned on me that the mutant beaver thing was a joke. I thought there was some sign or newspaper hanging around about killer beavers... oops.

Anyway, I agree with the radioactive site theory! Such a cool map. The bugling of the elks sounds so much more unnerving on it. It is kind of interesting too how hunting is different on the map... It is easier to hunt the elks in the town, whereas in the 'rugged terrain' there are so many hills that it's more difficult...

Interesting to hear that. Can't wait to get the game and experience it myself!

Maybe, the beavers aren't even mutants at all but just one of the few animals that survived, but they like to stick to their dam to avoid the wolves, since that's what they usually do. But! They could also be hanging around their dam a lot, and not doing much tree collecting and adding to their dam because they are avoiding the radioactive conditions, as radioactivity can have its detrimental events.

LR is probably my favorite map in 2.7. It completely blew me away! I was a bit skeptical at first but after I got to run around and explore I realized that I really liked it. The fact that you can search for a mate is a plus because I was expecting just sort of a "sight-seeing" map if you must, with no missions. You did a really good job, WolfQuest! :)

Yeah, I agree on the hunting part; hunting in town is a lot more easier than in the fields with the hills and such.

I haven't seen the dam... or the waterfall yet. Looks like I'm on the hunt for beavers, lol.

If you follow the creek that flows into the flood lake at Allison Acres, it'll lead you to the falls
