It reminds me of what happened in Chernobyl and how animals are starting to populate it now!

I agree! I got the same vibe, reminds me of that documentary showing the radioactive wolves living in Chernobyl. Especially with the weird, locked science building. And some of that garage door writing is downright creepy! "Trespassers will be left here to suffer the consequences"? Don't like the sounds of that lol.
Question, is there any way to go on top of the fire tower in LR?

EDIT: got a screenshot with some very foreboding writing https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/540x3 ... eIN3rj.png

There are several clues to what might have happened. Some I found interesting were: 'I fought the power, and the power won', and the numerous oil rigs scattered about.

Night is now falling, so ends this day.
The road is now calling, and I must away.
Over hill and under tree, through lands where never light has shone.
By silver streams that run down to the sea.

So did I! xD I also saw one specifically about Chernobyl wolves.

I'm glad so many of you are enjoying LR! I really love it––a true outlet for the imagination. Those beaver hypotheses are sounding pretty legit. ; )

I actually have that documentary on my harddrive, but I have yet to watch it. Now would be a good time, it seems.

So I finally went around and explored LR a bit tonight. And I must say, I was not expecting an entire abandoned town. I knew there'd be evidence of humans, but nothing on that scale. I was a bit nervous at first, since I wasn't sure if it was even safe to be in the neighbourhood despite the text at the beginning of the level, but once I realized the place was outright abandoned, it was../interesting to explore it, to say the least.

As I kept exploring and found the writings on the garage doors, my current overall opinion is that Lost River is a very sobering and unsettling location. "Trespassers will be left here to suffer to consequences." "I fought the power and the power won." "First the river, now us." It's almost chilling, really.

I had meant to actually find the creek that leads out to the waterfalls and beaver dams, but I got caught up trying to find the nearby pack instead.

Will probably be exploring the map extensively here and there. There's a story in this one. Not one with a completely happy ending, but a story all the same.

I'm just saying, all the signs I've found are only feeding my mutant beaver theory.

Also, someone in MP showed me the little graveyard by the bridge. Now THAT is just creepy lol. Dun dun duuuuun!

Fun fact: Those graves used to be floating. It was a glitch, but it was still freaky, like something you'd see for halloween.

...definitely freaky lol. I can only imagine. Sounds like something from a horror movie honestly.

So I went and read the headlines on the newsstand. Was hoping that it would explain the backstory more to the evacuation but sadly no xD it will be forever shrouded in mystery! I did like the "Wolf recovery program deemed a success" bit on the front page as well.

I haven't seen the oil rigs yet, or I might have overlooked them. I have been quite exploring a lot throughout the Lost River map though, earned a few achievements.

When I found the lonely camper and got an achievement I laughed so hard. I yelled ''I found Jesse's and Walter's camper!'' because Breaking Bad reference. XD
Then I was like: ''Now my wolf really needs to find a mate in this map so they can start cooking~ Partners yo~''
My dad found it hilarious. He doesn't care for games but I did let him compare the graphics and features of 2.5 and 2.7 and he seemed to like 2.7 a lot more, too. c:

I know that feeling Neam. xD
I keep exploring LR even though I've explored it two times now already.

And what is that about a secret hiding place? O:
Send me the secret in private message, spoil it for meeeeeee. <3

Edit: Oh now the picture is finally showing. I've been there. xD
Also, I've explored everywhere but I cannot seem to find the Ashes To Ashes and the Tanks For The View achievements. I really want to know what they are, though...
