One of the things I and a few others have been interested in is the inheritance system for puppy coats in 2.7. Curiosity got the better of me, so I put together this chart of the different coat colors and their corresponding puppy colors. Each corresponds directly to the wolf who is holding him/her, as I tested in multiplayer co-op when I was the only player.
If you'd rather find out the colors for yourself, feel free- but I've included the chart in the spoilers below.
The coat name designations are the pack name and the number the coat appears in on the menu- 1 being far left, and 5 far right. "O" indicates the original set, "LC" Lamar Creek, and "BDP" Blacktail Deer Plateu. I did not test the Life is Rough coats, as they are just variations off existing colors.
A few notes~
LC-2 and BDP-2 are the only wolves with the tint sliders changed. Note the effect on LC-2's puppy, however- compared to LC-3 and O-3, the pelt is noticeably darker and more reddish- in correspondence with the tint slider changes, it seems.
O-5 is the only coat that produces a naturally occurring pure white puppy.
BDP-2 is the only coat that produces a blonde puppy.
So what do you guys think? Do you like the new puppy coats? What color is your wolf and their puppies?

Wow Frodo, you clearly put a lot of effort into this! Fascinating indeed! It's so cool how some of the player-coats are completely different from the puppies.
From personal experience, I can say that tint sliders do affect the tints of your pups as well.

Not as much as you'd think, thanks to the ability to save multiplayer games lol XD That made it much easier XD Thank you, though But I must admit, I was pretty shocked to realize that there are actually around 7-8 coats, compared to the 5-6 we'd noticed. Some of those variations are quite subtle- who knew?

Lol after you brought it up, it kept bothering me XD It was really only a matter of time XD But thanks

This is intriguing - thanks for taking the time to do this and compile everything together! Quite nice to see all of the different variations compared against each other, really helps to see the different possibilities!

Thank you so much for doing this. Actually kind of helps in deciding the design of my wolf's mate so I can have variations in puppies.

Wow, this is fantastic. I've been waiting for something like this to pop up. Thanks for putting in the effort! It's really intriguing to see how radically different some of the pups look in comparison to their adult counterparts.

Hey, no problem! I was curious, and thought I might as well share my findings with the rest of y'alls

Wow, that looks really amazing! Good job Frodo!
I see that some pups don't exactly look like the parent that's holding them, comparing their coat colors, but that makes it quite interesting, actually. o:
I haven't gotten to the point yet where my wolves have pups as I'm still exploring, but I will defintely try it out, too. c:

I'm going to make sure I'll have beautiful puppies! Thanks for putting this together, Frodo!

Thanks XD And yeah, some puppy colors are surprisingly different O.o I think the most noticeable for me was BDP-2- that one surprised me. Also, it's interesting that the blonde puppy can only be obtained by having a wolf with BDP-2- I was predicting O-3 might have been the source of the blonde pup, but apparently not XD

No problem! I got really curious and needed to find out lol, and thought I might as well compile a table from my findings XD

I love how I had a dark coated mate and a light coated wolf which I gave a more brownish tint (with the extra color-change addition). They got four pups, two pups that had the brown color like mt wolf and two pups which had my wolf's original light coat color! No pups looked like the mate. It was so weird to see, but also so cool. o:

How neat - a really good topic! Is there any sort of 'dominance' in terms of what pelt is inherited (i.e. O pelts being more common than LC, etc), and are the tints generated depending on how far to the left/right both parent's tints are? O: I really wanna know how it works, haha.
