The grizzly is supposed to avoid water, but if it does go in, it's not walking on water. What you're seeing is a graphics shader conflict between the water effect and the fur effect, and the fur effect wins (so is drawn in front of the water), and that makes it appear to be on top of the water). But I just couldn't give up that lovely fur effect on it.

Ah, that's interesting. And that is a lovely fur effect on the bear!

I'm curious if anyone knows if the elk are programmed to run back towards the herd? And if they're programmed to run towards water? I've noticed they tend to angle to the river when you chase them if you're near it, and i know elk do try to escape into deep water when they're being chased by wolves since they have longer legs. Of course it could just be coincidence for me lol.

I think it is just that they try to go back to the herd, yes. Has it not always been like that? In my experience they don't tend to run toward water on purpose, but maybe I am just unobservant.

Today I actually did see a stranger wolf in co-op! There were only two of us in the game and we had both been away from the den, but when we got back there was a stranger wolf standing as if it was waiting for an encounter like in 2.5 before it started running. But prior to this though, I had not seen any either.

Some other changes are the campfires and boots. They are new to AM and seem to have moved in SC? Can't find them anywhere anymore in SC and I've been looking for hours, literally ^^'
I remember exactly where they were in the 2.5 version, but they aren't there anymore.
Also the boots in AM are a mystery to me. (If someone would like to show me them, please feel free to PM me :p)

Just posting to confirm that one campfire and the boot in Slough Creek are still there... but they were moved from their original 2.5 positions. The second campfire has been removed. ;) Finally managed to find the boot yesterday. Turns out I was looking in all the wrong places. Huzzah.

As for the boot in Amethyst...

Yes, like I said as well. They moved. But where?! Haha
Thank for sharing the topic, I found it after posting here as well. I've been looking in that area for three days now (since I saw a tip in another topic too), but still no luck. Keeps the game interesting though :p

I've covered the whole ground there searching for the lost boot. Found the campfire, but the boot is a different story.
My goodness. xD

Edit: Never mind! I found it! :'D

Noticed a lot of the human signs in SC have been moved now, looks like I'll have to go searching now!

And aaaaah the updated graphics for SC winter are lovely! I love the texture on the snow. And the big rocks around the butte are cool too, fun to play around on. Also I love that rival wolves run up to their borders and growl at you now, will they kill your pups if you stray onto their territory too much? I think it would also be good to make them actually attack you if you keep crossing onto their turf.

Nice hearing about all these amazing changes, can't wait to buy 2.7 (or win it in the contest, whichever comes first), so I can dive in and explore these updates for myself!

I ran out of snarky remarks, unfortunately.

my parents can't believe I'm still obsessed with it, or obsessed with it once again, to be honest. xD
I'm almost 19, like... wow. And I actually enjoy the new version to its fullest.

Yes, Jeames, you must really love it that much.

Don't worry, I'll probably end up the same way...
