4 years ago this happened, it is a good memory and a long story :3 Better like it >O

Me and my best friend went walking outside in her (now also my) neighborhood. We came across two other friends and their little sisters who were playing with scraps of newspaper, creating boats and whatnot. They put the boat into the "river" (small river, forgot the name. Let's just call it a water.) and we warned them to get it out because the ducks could choke in it. We went on walking, we were quite angry with them because they were making such mess. After a few minutes, we returned to that spot. Our friends had left and didn't clean their trash up. So firstly, we started picking up and throwing away all that lay on the ground. Easy to get. Then... I tried to get the paper out from the water because there were ducks nearing, and my friend was trying to get some out a bush. An old man walked past and saw us stumbling to get them... He said "I'll help you" and went home and came back with some sort of hand on a stick so we could get it out the water and from the bushes! :3

We went on cleaning more trash that was lying there. Another old couple walked past. "Aww, see those children cleaning up. Great!" and whatnot. And then the old man asked those two "Let's clean up the whole neighborhood!" and the old couple also were going home for some trash bags. The man suggested us to continue playing and he and the other two were going to clean more! We started a clean revolution 8D

I like to also help pick up trash at public places like parks and the beach.
So... How 'bout them apples?

What'll it take to clear my tray?
To wash my pain and hurt away?
I know not whether you are there
To listen to my silly prayer.
But I know one thing for sure~
I want to find a life-long cure.

The usual. Switch off lights, trying to recycle as much as I can, trying to make eco-friendly decisions when buying electronics, donating money or volunteering for various wildlife and animal rescue centers (cleaning up cages, washing the animals, etc).

No-one enjoyed my huge story? Daw.

I also help by finishing things my brother didn't. He always puts things on standby.

All the stories I just read about helping were just awesome. I'm glad that all of you are helping the world as I do. Really good job everyone, I hope you write more soon about the things you do for helping, I should write the things I have done lately as well.

We should all remember that even a tiny thing to do (like recycling or picking up garbage, etc) helps to reduce the damage we've set upon our environment.
No, we are not forced to become 100% "ecoheads", but making nature-friendly choices gives us hope to fight against the greenhouse phenomenon and reduce pollution.
Make a difference. Make it count. It doesn't require a big change.

Yes, I agree with Embry. :3
I personally like helping the environment as often as I can because doing so makes me feel very good. I like to know that even though I'm young, I can make a difference.

That's true, Embry, by helping a little bit you can do big changes. Thing about all the people of this topic that is helping the environment, multiply it by thousands of other people that don't come here but they help the world in one or another way. We are a lot of beings that by staying united we can create great things.

That is a very good point Sintact. :3 Sometimes, we don't even realize when we are helping the environment. I think that is truly amazing.

Well said, Sintact, and I think that really fits to the idea how we are trying to mold this world into a better place for us and the animals (nature) to live in.

Yeah, a lot of times at my school last year, they made everyone pick up at least 3 pieces of litter everyday after lunch time. It kind of got annoying but it felt good to see the schoolgrounds cleaner.

Good to read that, I'm glad that some schools are taking action as general activities. In my school we don't do that kind of things, but they will accept the activity if someone propose the idea in a well organized paper.
