Fairtrade is when People over Africa work to make things, like bananas, foods, coffe and even T-shirts. You can buy them in shops, And you will be helping the people in Africa to get more money from theirb work.

That's awesome, Blitzar, but that's not for helping the environment, yet it's a very nice action that you make. You could also adopt an African kid by the distance, I think I'm going to do that with my family. We have wanted to make that long time ago.

Oh yes, and I forgot to say that I participated in Earth Day.
That should help the environment. (^-^)

Re: What have you done to help your environment?
Ever since I was little I was know for picking up litter
I use sunlight and when it's dark I turn on a little light, when I brush my teeth I only use the water to wash my mouth, I mostly save up on rubbish and make new stuff, like coke cans I cut it in half and use it as a plant pot, it works
I ride my bike to school and to the shops if I absolutely can't walk there. Instead of just turning the TV and my computer by remote I turn the electricity of so it's not on standby. And probably the most annoying thing is that everyone has a huge 4x4(I live in Dubai) and has five cars with four motorcycles, my dad only has one and it's a forester. In school I spend my lunch time picking up rubbish, and when I'm not using the computer I turn it off instead of leaving it on. My whole family is very environment friendly, sadly I can't plant anything from a seed because of the climate
So we have to buy already grown ones but we have lots of trees.
Edit: Thought of more, we use energy saving lightbulbs, we never buy anything that has been tested on animals cause it's just cruel! We try to use the least paper that's possible, when we make a mistake with the printer we ripe it into rectangles and re-use it. I think that's it now

There is lots of ways to help. I think I should adopt a child when I'm older.

Re: What have you done to help your environment?
But the environment, not the world in general.
Adopting a kid is not evironmental xD
I think when I'm 18 or so, I'll go to travel to other countries with my sister and go teaching poor kids how to protect the environment and such, I'm already planning this journey.

Poop and such are biodegradable, they are not harmfull for the environment, yet is it horrible to see them at the street or everywhere.

Re: What have you done to help your environment?
That's true. In the first post I talk about that and my experience, so I don't have anything to say. Just that try not to use plastic bags when you are going to the supermarket, if you are buying just a few things, don't use plastic bags. Or you could use just the biodegradable ones. They already exist and are less harmfull for the environment.
