I saved a mouse today. My mom was going to use one of those electric shock-killer things, but I persuaded her to let me try and catch it first.

It was soooo cute! I saw it on the edge of our stairway. I walked down the steps like normal, but the mouse freaked out and kinda fell off our stairs. It got up immediately and ran for our kitchen. I grabbed a large container, sort of fell over, and caught the mouse underneath it. I looked through and was amazed.

Then I put cardboard underneath the tub, picked it up, and carried the mouse up our street where I let it go :D

It's not much, I know, but I'm glad we didn't use one of those electric shock-zap-killing things.

That's really good both of you, saving animals is a nice experience, I'm used to save dogs and cats, but never actually saved a mouse. The are oftenly killed by the cats I save haha. Becareful because that mice are pests, but it's good if you saved it for once.

Nice ways for helping, frog.

I saved a baby mole from a glue trap once, it somehow got into the house and my mom had put glue traps down to catch it, when we found it just its back feet were stuck and it was alive, i spen over an hour unsticking him.... he later took up residence in a PVC pipe in the back yard, we used to see him every now and again, until we moved

Yeah, I hope the little mouse doesn't end up as dinner for one of the cats in my neighborhood. I'm amazed by all the ways people are helping (which is a good thing) :D

Oh yes, and I recycle.

I usually do the same thing (the one highlighted) I haven't thought about picking up trash that friends drop, though. And unfortunately we can't recycle because where we live.

That's a great story Sintact... The things I do aren't all that exciting, but I help lost dogs that run near the highway find their owners again, and do my bit by recycling all that needs to... As I said, not much, but I'm sure it counts ^_^

Everything counts here. What you are doing is really good, a great job, Rain. Of course you can do more, but if you don't want it's okay since you already made some moves.

Sometimes you really think people realize how important recycling is, but they end up dropping trash and not picking it up. >.>

I'm kind of frustrated when my friends do that--they usually know I'm the one who will pick it up because I'm all environment-freaked. .__.
I'd really like them to realize how important it is.

Anyways, to help the environment, I saw some candy wrappers that someone dropped and I picked that up and threw it away.

I know how it feels, Kami, though you do a really good job by picking up the trash even though it's not yours.
That's actually really good, frog wolf.

I will be making soon a new topic about taking action you might be interested about. Soon it will be up.

I don't really do alot, but I recycle anything that I can, and put any food scraps into my worm bin (Its a big container with holes in it, a removeable top, and a LOT of worms.) So they can make compost to help me grow the trees I've planted in the backyard.

I also use any old colored paper and make binders out of it to store all my stuff, use coke cans/big water bottles to make flowerpots, and I carry around a water bottle with me and just fill it up when I'm thirsty.
Avvie made by me~

Thanks Sin. :3

Oh yes.. and one other thing is that I have been recycling a lot more. And using both sides of the paper when I draw. xD
Even little things like that help.

And Flynnii, I've never heard of a worm box before. That's a really good idea. =)

The idea of the worms sounds like something I'm going to do, but since I have an organic garden in my backyard, the worms naturally go there and live there, if you dig some centimetres under the thick mass of decomposing vegetables/organic material, you will see thousands of worms, some are really big, so big that they look like snakes in size.

The other day I collected more than 300 juice boxes that are going to be recycled for making mathematics rules, book covers and other school materials for the people who can't pay for the school supplies.

Ever little thing you do, will be a really big change in the world one day.
