Yeah, I wish those poor Doggies a safe home.

There is a way of getting a/some dog(s) from a Puppy Mill ~ Puppy Farm ~ without paying. As some of you might know. Animal INspectors come every year to inspect their conditions. If they are not pleased of what they see they take the most weakest and the Dogs wich are the oldest away. (Also the dogs with good personality) They take them to get adopted somewhere else. That's a better way of solving things!

Or, alternatively, if the animals can not be saved they would put hundreds of them down. Like what happened at the Toronto Humane Society.

Probably, and, most likely. If they are in a bad enough condition to be put down.

And, if conditions were that bad in the mill, they would probably be given a notice to clean up their act and/or receive a fine.

But, in my research, puppy mill owners find ways to get past this 'yearly check'. Though, I forget how they do it.

Sigh. My dog, Teddy was born in a puppy mill but we didn't know when we got him. After we got him he started having problems. His leg turned blue and Swollen. He got a big tumor - like (Tumor LIKE, Not an actual tumor) thing on his side that was swollen and blue.
It cost 10,000 dollars to fix him up.
He has a disease called "Hemophilia". This is a disease where the blood doesn't clot. For example, you get cut with a thorn, you bleed for a minute then stop bleeding, and eventually your cut heals.
For teddy, it doesn't stop bleeding.
I despise puppy mills. Everyone of them should be shut down, and the owners, arrested. :x

don't they probably do it by just sorting it out for the yearly check and since the check probably can't check every dog just show the healthiest ones

They do examane the Dog's reguraly in Humane Sosities. (Ans when hey have just been rescued)

I think the yearly Check is where animals are checked all over (Behavoural, Health ect...)

Although I've never heard of that, it seems intresting. Maybe Slitary you could ask someone at your local Rescue Center or someone in Co. witha Rescue center nearby?

OH. That's what Hemophilia means...I've been wondering...either way. My mom is forever coming home from working (she's a vet assistant) and complaining about getting all these really sick dogs from puppy mills.
There is no genius without a touch of madness.

Hmm.

I wouldn't say the people who owned them where horrible. Yes, and Solitary said, could you keep things Civil! Or topic get locked!

I'm not trying to take sides. but people need money this day, and that's basicly how thwey do it. I agree, it's a very bad case senario.

I don't like how some people treat these creators, even for money. It's wrong to treat an animal like that, they also have feelings.

I am glad that some people realize that what the puppy mills are doing is wrong, and that they will help the dogs who are in the puppy mills and find them good homes.

Yes, it's a good thing^^

But sometimes, if you buy one from there, they will get money to carry on the Community. And then more Dog's will be treated badly.
