Yes however, if you don't buy from them then you can't save one of those poor dogs.
Usually, what some adoption centers do. Is literally save dogs from puppy mills, well broken down ones or ones that recently closed. So basically, it's win-win for the dog.

That's great to hear Lye. ^^
I'd check it out, though I really don't have puppy mills in my area. (thank goodness) We do have lots of shelters and adoption centers though.

I've seen many things on TV that have saved things from puppy mills, and then how they teach people about puppy mills and how it's dangerous for the dog. Also how to adopt from Shelters instead.

So it's good to see how many people are dedicated to try and save the dogs from such places.

Thanks Domino^^

It's good to hear you haven't got a Puppy Mill Community in your area. Also, it's releving that you only have animal centers and Adoption Places.

No puppy mills are not nice places. It is a shame for an animal to go there.
Although it's good for people to try and help out and try to close them down, along with the shelters that try to save the dogs from such places.

Unfortunately, I think puppy mills are entirely legal in the states...as long as they meet certain standards for the animals. Most do not.

If you buy from a puppy mill to 'save' a puppy, you're just fueling the business. And, even though it sounds mean, that puppy will just be a big money pit. From what I heard, puppies born at/from puppy mills have so many problems (behaviour, physical, diseases, etc.) that you're more better off if you adopt a dog at a shelter.

I have to agree with that, it's sad for that but it is a bit better off buying from a shelter instead of a Puppy Mill due to the mistreatment and such. If they don't get money, they eventually close down. Leaving for adoption centers to take in the dogs and try to save them.

Yes, they are Legal in the states, I was Watching the Dog Whisperer. It was about Puppy Mill's, but if the Kennel owner agrees to sign up with a Local organization Check-Up, if it's not up to standards. They will be warned this can be closed. If it doenst improve, the Kennels closed and the Dog's will go to new homes.

And yes, I have noted that they are Putting Money in the Community. They say,
Don't Buy Adopt Insted

I feel really sorry for the puppies that ends up in the puppy mill. They don't deserve to stay there, at all. :/
