It's sad that people don't care. A lot of people I know couldn't care less. But, if you think positive, there are tons of people who do care, and they are trying to fix it now. I think there should be a big thank you to those who have helped with this oil spill.

I've done some research and watched documentaries on this conflict. It's rather upsetting for me to see. The oil is seriously inches thick in some parts of the Gulf of Mexico. Animals like raccoons, rabbits, crocs etc are getting stuck in the grass islands which is covered in oil. If they were to eat anything in that, it would be death for them. Horrible tragedy, hopefully more animal rescue centers offer more foster care for these animals.

It's good to hear its been stopped. But, I believe the damage is done. I have learned that many fish use the gulf as nurseries, so this oil spill will definitely take its toll on the baby fish and large fish (including sharks), affecting them for generations. It's also birds, reptiles, amphibians, and land animals that are affected as well.
Hopefully it will be cleaned up before the birds make their annual migration, and end up stopping off at the gulf.

Yeah I've heard of that, it's good that the oil spill is finally clearing up. But the damage is brutal and most of the affects are long term. So, it's quite sad how much wildlife was affected by this, but it is also a good thing that it has stopped, so that there isn't any more damage done.
Hopefully other none-lasting damage can be cleared up.

Indeed, hopefully they will be able to get the thing fixed before anything happens with the temperary cap, if anything happens anyways.
Since, I believe, it was designed to get the oil spill to slow down so that they are able to work on it, I don't remember quite well on that. (since it was a while since I've seen news on it)

Though again, hopefully everything works out.

I agree, its not the best record to make.
Sadly, it takes a disaster to make us see how much wildife and people are affected by it. It also shows us that we need better precautions to avoid it from happening again.
Luckily, the spill is being cleaned up. I'm hoping that we will find better precautions to stop oil spills from happening.

Yes, wildlife is fragile even if they look strong on the outside.

I totally agree! They should be rewarded. This issue is gone far beyond terrible. It really needs to have greater effort put in by BP...

Hello BlackWidow, as I said ealier they have a remporary model in the way to stop it, which has successly done it's job, so everything that has been damaged is being repared:

BP: Bringing British oil to American shores.

No, though, it's pretty sad. What with ghost fish and all.
