PetAdoptWorld is a virtual pet adoption website where you adopt a pet that you and others can click. Now, there are more websites like this, but the difference with PetAdoptWorld is that clicking other people's pets raise funds for real-life animal shelters around the world.

Basically, you adopt a pet and assign it to a shelter to support. Over time your pets will individually earn cash for those shelters based on how many clicks they receive.

For example, this is my dog Baxter http://petadoptworld.com/pages/petpage.asp?petid=6635 who has raised $0.14 so far :> Seems like a small amount, but every little bit helps add to the total of $1502 raised to this date by the site so far (And they're growing fast!)

Registering is very easy; you don't even have to enter an e-mail address :D

Nope! The whole point of PWA is making it possible for people to contribute to shelters even though they don't directly have he money for it. :>

Agreed there Winter! The fact that its for the animals is really the pulling factor for me. =D

Just updated the first post a bit, not sure if that was for the better though... ;p

Since recently they've made an "Arcade" - you can play flash games there and the points you earn will go to the shelter you pick. The shelter with the most points at the end of the month will receive money from the sponsor. :>
