I fell in love with wolves relatively recently. I think it started when I met someone on another website (LunaOfTheMoon, here.) I saw all of her wolf stuff and thought man, I never realized wolves were so pretty.

So I started doing wolf stuff too, and voila. I discovered the amazing world of wolves.

I love wolves because they are not your average wild animals. For some reason, wolves hold a special place in my heart. Their social structure, their communication, their loyalty to one another, amazes and inspires me. On top of that, their sheer beauty is incomparable to much else.

As for their being overmarketed...... well, yeah. It seems like I can't turn around without either a werewolf movie or a little kid's fairy tale about the "big bad wolf" sticking out in my face. Even if whatever it is isn't specifically ABOUT wolves, it still only displays their "cruel" predatory nature. It gets on my nerves!
I'm more active now, as the WQ forums used to be amazingly slow for me.

I dont know why I really like wolves, I just do. I dont really like coyotes since one ate my pet bunny  I've never been a fan of Deer either (but once I was watching animal planet and a deer attacked a hunter. I was laughing SO hard. :D )

The wolf is something that I feel close to in a way, it's hard to desribe...

well, i've noticed that many people are saying "misunderstood" but actually wolves are very "understood." in my opinion, people are over-exaggerating. wolves used to be misunderstood, not anymore. coyotes are much, MUCH more misunderstood

I think coyotes should be more understood. I went to go see one at the zoo yesterday, and they are INCREDIBLY kind, smart, sweet, loving, and actually, very VERY playful.

seeing a coyote in real life makes you like them 10x more. trust me, now coyotes are my second favorite animal.
I am afraid to say I have quit Wolfquest.

I'm honestly not sure why, I've just loved them for as long as I can remember. Although they became my favorite animal a few years ago.
* When life gives you lemons, throw them back and ask for a cookie.
* If you can't convince them, confuse them.
* I didn't do it!..oh wait..that..yeah, i did that.

I love wolves because:
a: They are extremely beautiful creatures
b. they are very misunderstood creatures. While I admit they are not nearly as misunderstood as before, they still are.
c. wolves are very intelligent, almost as intelligent as humans! (Well not exactly, but the point is, they're very very smart.)
d. They are loving kind animals.
e. they are wild and untamed, and just their freedom and wildness i love.
f. Their howls sound really cool!

I could sit here for hours and write a whole essay on why I love wolves, but I will not put you all through that much reading =] So to simple it down I love wolves Because they are 1. The most beautiful animals in the world everything about them is beautiful not just there looks, but also their intelligence, and loyalty. 2. I saw a wolf once while hiking, and when me and her(I figured it was a female because of her size) looked at each other I got a strange feeling like we were connected I continued to walk and she kept her gaze on me, and then went on her way. I can't describe what that feeling was, but it made me love them even more, and made me want to do anything I could to save them.

And Wolfs and dogs are very close alike.
And simply too many reasons.

I loved wolves many years ago. They are very clever, beautiful and graceful. And their magic howl... Also they are smarter then people, they have strong hierarchy and don't disturb it.

I never knew anything about wolves till I was in 7th grade, when I saw my friend's t-shirt, with a really cool picture of a wolf starting at me. My guess is that something had to catch your eye. Maybe a poster.
