Although it's unlikely that it's pure wolf, if it has any wolf in it, it would be potentially dangerous to pets, and humans if provoked. You, or an adult should contact your local animal control right away, so they can come in and take care of the animal properly, before any harm can be done.

That doesn't sound good. However, it's a good thing somebody called. I suggest that you not worry about it, and let animal control do their business. Hopefully they'll take care of the problem, even if it results in killing the animal. They may have no other choice but to kill it; it could be extremely dangerous, or even carry diseases.

I would:
A. Get some help from the local vet (He uses cameras to spot animals)
B. Lure it into a cage
C. Call someone you can trust, like the RSPCA.
D. Put it to sleep

I wouldn't really let it run around in my area if it hurts animals; it's probably in bad condition so the vet would put it to sleep straight after he catches it. I think every good minded person would put it to rest (Maybe even give a funeral for it) because if they sent him/her to the wild, he/she would get rejected from all packs because she/he has the scent of humans on him/her. He/She might get killed slowly and painfully for he/she doesn't recognise the area or the diseases and stuff.

Its a little like the population of Macaws in London. 2 escaped, and now theirs 15 of them, lets hope the populations grows and my hometown will become a rainforest  and they are in good condition, so the vet allowed them. I think there is more than 20, because you see them everywhere in my neighbourhood. Cute little green birds in the air, my mom couldn't believe her eyes. We were there at the time of the escape :D
If there was 2 wolves, then it'd be ok because they'd have a pack and they could travel away using common sense.

Yeah, I agree! I wish the people that hated human kind would have an island to themselves with their own law and they could let everyone live in peace, you know, no politics and stuff.
Unfortunatly you'd have to sacrifice animals if they are too ill, no doubt.

Woah there shenzie, calm down. Your probably freaked out right now huh?
If human kind 'are killers' then why are there places like YellowStone, Internatoinal Wolf Center, UKWC adn many more organisations helping to protect wolves. They where all started by humans right? An awful lot of people love wolves then they did 20 years ago, and would do anything to protect them. Quite a few hunters have seen the light too. Yes there are still hunters, but we can't stop them all, just try. So far other humans have done a great deal of work towards that. Its simple really.
Human kind- Kills wolves
Human king- Saves wolves
Its just the times are changing, things are already getting better for the wolves.
Try to look on the positive side of what some (if not alot of) people are doing to help.

This is the first and final warning for this topic.

No more talking about 'evil bad humans' or this topic will be locked. That kind of talk is not allowed on the forums, as it only fuels trolling and flaming.

i would (like everyone else said) call animal control, and let them handle it. having a wolf lose is a big problem, it would go after pets and could carry diseases. animal control can hopefuly just captrue the animal, and relese it safely back into the wild, somewhere far away. i would just stay out of it for now, and let animal control take care of it
good luck!

Hey it'll be fine, they may have just put the animal to sleep and called back-up, how ever if the animal would cause visible harm (rabies) then it would have been a gun-shot, i would keep your pets inside for two-three nights just to be on the safe side though :)
