Re: Why blue eyes?
We may not know why wolf pups have blue eyes and why they change to a shade of yellow, but it's still a proven fact.
At the moment though, the web page doesn't work.

Cowgirl, there are all kinds of scientists all over the world, who study wolves and proven (with backup) that full grown wolves cant have blue eyes.

Re: Why blue eyes?
i think wolves with yellow eyes or blue eyes look great^^
yellow eyes gives them a sence of power and strength, but blue eyes gives a look of majestic and beauty
i think both eyes look awesome

Re: Why blue eyes?
I do say it is quite mysterious and alluring, but i still prefer the beautiful amber-yellow eyes of a true wolf. When the eyes are icy blue, they look a lo more like a husky than a wolf, and pretty much kill the whole pure wolf thing. In rp's, most people have blue eyes, or green eyes, even purple. One time i saw brown. It is a little misleading, and at one point i too believed that wolves could have blue eyes.

Re: Why blue eyes?
Yes true that wolves could have blue eyes.
It does not have to be half dog.
Cause that wolf pups have them so.

Re: Why blue eyes?
It's true that some pups may retain their blue eyes longer than they should, but it is natural for their eyes to eventually change to a shade of yellow.^^Cowgirl101 wrote:Yes true that wolves could have blue eyes.

Re: Why blue eyes?
"Wolves are usually born with deep blue eyes which lighten and then gradually fade into the adult eye color over the next six to ten weeks. A mature Wolf's eyes are often amber/brown or gold, but also commonly come in hues of brown, gray, yellow, and green. It is interesting to note that puppies are born with blue eyes, while mature Wolves do not retain blue as an eye color. Huskies often have blue eyes, and because of this people think there must be blue eyed Wolves as well, but this isn't true. If you see a Wolf with blue eyes then he or she is likely a Wolf-hybrid and not a full-blooded Wolf."
