AWW! Poor Maya! She was the most loveable wolf in my eyes!
At least she is no longer is pain, wouldn't want her to suffer and fall at the paws of the younger animals.

I'm going to miss her. What a downer.

She had an awful injury. It was the most humane option to euthanize her. She lived a good life as a captive wolf and she was humanely put down, which is positive.

Man that's depressing, it's always hard to hear about an dieing, especially an exotic animal.... At least shes in a better place now

It sort of reminds me of when Flower died from Meerkat Manner, I was so sad and depressed after that

Sort of late in replying to this topic but oh well. It simply is a tragedy that Maya had to be euthanized. At least it was painful and put her out of the horrid pain in her leg, though it is sad when a loved wolf passes on. She'll definitely be missed.

I'm sorry. At least she isn't in pain. Seven years isn't bad for a wolf, especially a captive one. She died in peace and with no pain. She's in a better place.
