To canines, hugging is generally a threatening behavior, especially if said canine has never had handling/contact with another human and the human hugging them is also a stranger, and this applies especially to wild wolves. Stereotyping wolves as evil killers who want nothing more than to rip your face off is just as bad as romanticizing them as some ~*majestic and noble*~ creatures of nature. Come on, people.

I agree with Naka. Wolves are beautiful, but a hug is like trapping them in their language. Don't hug a wolf, bros.

No. Furry, but I could hug a friendly husky and keep my arms and face.

As a child, it definitely was one of my dreams, but after I slowly matured, and learned more about them, I found it more fascinating to watch them do their thing, rather than jumping in the middle of it. So, no.

The only wolves I'd hug are the ones in Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples, FL (I wanna go there so much! They have friendly wolves you can pet), but I'd rather just pet them, to animals such as dogs, hugging is being dominant over them, which they typically don't agree with and so they will probably "attack" you if you do that.

If it is a friendly wolf, then sure. I wouldn't want to get too close to a wild one, animals need space. (So do I)

I would want to, and probably I would pretend to, but given that canines tend to see hugging as a dominance display, I probably wouldn't actually hug a wolf. If somehow the wolf was as friendly as my dog (unlikely, but I did say 'if'), then yes, I would hug it. (My dog doesn't really like hugs but she doesn't care if I hug her either, most of the time.)

If I was that crazy and overly awesome then I would definitely hug a wolf. If I wasnt then I would only hug a wolf if its tamed or if its OK to even hug it

Honestly, I think I'd never want to hug a wolf.
I've already had an animal, similar to a wolf, sicked on me...
So.
I would never hug a wolf. 。◕‿◕。
Life is a game.
The game is never won, though you can achieve a high-score.
When you achieve that high-score, you get rewarded.
And the reward is death.

I would hug a wolf if it wasn't a threat to me. Wolves are just plain awesome :3

Does it seem like a cool idea? Definitely. Do I think of it? Oh, yes. Would I? I guess it depends. Given their nature and how they see it, I don't think I'd be so driven to do it like I was before, but if it was under a controlled environment and the situation was handled very well, I might. Still, might. I am just iffy about it. Honestly, just being around it is enough for me. Maybe petting it.
