i would live with them if i were studying their behaviors and familial structure. even though i'm familiar with said behaviors due to documentaries and a bit of research (i was a big time wolfaboo back in the day ok don't judge me), i think it's a totally different experience to watch them out in the field. plus, you develop this form of familiarity with them and get attached to them-- as with anything you put a lot of time an effort into, right?-- so you feel as if you're a part of their family unit, even though they don't even know you exist lol

Yes! I have my person whom I look up to. It's our dear L. David Mech. I have all of his books. He is my hero. I wish I can be someday like him. If would have the chance to live with wolves...I'll catch it and never let it go...

Perhaps, but not in the way everyone might assume i would. I would live something like how Jim and Jamie Dutcher did when attempting to raise the Sawtooth pack. I would live with them in the sense that I would have them in my backyard so they may come and go as they please, but physically living with wolves and sharing quarters with them is not generally something i'd look forward to. All i need is for them to stay wild and beautiful. Should they tolerate my human interaction, then i'll permit it. but nothing more. That's my ideal way to live with wolves.

That's hard.... There are some complications....

1. The wolves would prooooobably not trust me. :wolf:
2. I can't/don't want to eat raw meat :pawprint:
3. I can't run as fast or for as long as the wolves can, so i would often fall behind
4. The Alpha would probably hate me, and/or see me as a challenger :wolf:
5. I wouldn't be able to tell where one territory ends and another starts, let alone which way the elk went. :moose:
6. I would probably catch a cold or some other disease not 1 week into the adventure.

And there is probably a million more problems.... But, let's fantasize that all those problems didn't exist! If they didn't, i would TOTALLY go live with the wolf pack!
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
And yet never grows?

wild wolf packs do not have "alphas." They are a closely knit family.

Photos would be nice to back up your claim, as I know in most states wolves require extensive permits to own.

"Black arctic wolves" do not exist, I'm afraid.

Lovely as it'd be to feel like I was more in tune with nature, I could not live with wolves. Not as if they'd tolerate me anyway.

No. Absolutely not.

- I don't have survival skills
- The wolves would not tolerate me, as they are wild animals
- I would starve to death
- I wouldn't be able to keep up with the wolves
- If the wolves didn't kill me for being a threat, then something else would
- I would rapidly fall ill or diseased

This exactly.

Assuming you do not literally live in Yellowstone or another wolf habitat - Since legitimate wolves cannot legally be sold as pets, someone has tricked you into buying a (probably low content) wolfdog.
