Agreed, I'm not trying to argue either. I tend to be curt and to the point on the internet so I often sound rude when I'm not trying to. I can't say that I haven't ever been around these animals; I've actually spent three hours in a wolf enclosure at a wolf center, watching them and drinking hot chocolate. They came up to me at first and licked my face and teeth, then kinda walked away to do wolf stuff. Very amazing.

But it is dangerous to be around wild animals without a specialist around you, and I had the center staff walking around and keeping an eye on the wolves.

I think our opinions are fairly similar so.. yeah. I was just trying to push the wild animal thing xD

I've been to two zoos with wolves. The first was awful, and the wolves weren't excited to see anyone. They paced around, looking for a way to escape. The second was better, so I'm pretty sure the wolves had been around humans for all their lives; probably born in the zoo.

I feel like we're getting off topic. I have a discussion about captive wolves in zoos here (http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=69022) if you want to continue this conversation about care of wolves in zoos there.

I wouldn't.
I don't want to lose my life.
I don't see how a person living with wolves could work out.
But, living with "captive" wolves wouldn't be as bad, since there used to being around humans.

  • One way to interpret this question is to consider that both humans and wolves live on the same planet, and in some cases coexist in the same environments! Of course, the relationships between these two species are there also.

I would choose to 'live' with wolves if it was for the purpose of an observational study for a research project. So I'd be living with them in the sense that my research area would be within the range of wolf populations. Trying to actually join a wild wolf pack...not for me!

Camping in an area with wolves would also be really cool.

Heck no. I'm not fit to live with any wild animal.
As if a wild wolf pack would tolerate my presence for long anyway. I'd be more likely to end up as a meal then a respected member of the pack.
Wolves are super duper average and okay animals.

  • No, too much effort.
Think of all the luxury's you wouldn't have access to, most of the things we take for granted now would suddenly become important.

Oh, yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YEEESS!!! If National Geographic or some big animal company gave me the chance to photograph or film wolves, I would say YES!! It's been done by people before, and it isn't that dangerous if you actually know what you're doing. So yes. ( FOR THE TENTH TIME. )
Although, I already kinda live with wolves. My Chihuahuas act more like them than any other breed. True fact.

I am way too lazy to live out in the wild, or even camp. I don't know the first thing about surviving on my own, and I surely would need help to stay alive. In addition, I would miss all the luxuries I have now and electricity (showers <3). Not to mention my friends, family, and boyfriend! In short: I am not that committed to wolves.

I can say I'm sure. I'm sure it could change me because then I would be sure to get out more, and learning to understand animals better..

No, not at all. Don't get me wrong, I like wolves, but:
a. I like my house, my kitchen, computer, etc.
b. I like my family and friends.
and
c. no toilet paper.
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

I would not live with wolves, no. They are wild and inherently unpredictable. It would be interesting to be in close proximity to them for a short period of time only, but they are definitely not cuddly and domesticated like dogs are, even if they are very appealing animals!

There are many rumors of children being raised by wild wolves, along with paintings. If you show the correct body language, it is possible. You can speak a language without words, as long as you submit to an alpha male and female. Do not treat them as your pets. They are wild. Don't beg for food, you'd have to find your own. Don't ever be caught with blood or meat, as an omega will definitely overpower you if he took a jump for it. And if you fought another wolf that the alpha cares for, say a pup, Then you're over.

Do NOT attempt this. I'm only saying it's possible. So if wolves had a comfortable shelter to stay in, then yes. I would, if I was stranded or something.
