    • i have a feeling that this would only work the same way if you've done what Kevin Richardson has done with the lions he works with. he's worked with the lions since birth and they've come to see him as a member of their pride, so they don't treat him as a human but as a pride member. that doesn't mean that he's one hundred percent safe with them all the time, just that the likely hood of being attacked has gone down somewhat.

i think that unless you've worked with the wolves since birth and they've come to recognize you as a part of their pack, you wouldn't be able to even come near them. with that being said, i would not like to live with wolves, but i think it would be cool to work with wolves. perhaps as a veterinarian for the facility.

go ahead and check out what Kevin Richardson does though, because it's pretty cool. he's been on Animal Planet a few times. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-lion-whisperer/

When I was younger I would probably have said yes to the question.
But now that I'm eighteen and look back at this I would most likely say no; I would love to see wolves and follow them around, but actually living with them would be too much, I think.

I mean, if you live with wolves you probably have to live like one. That means hunting with them. I prefer going to the grocery stores to get my meals to be honest. xD

Definitely. I would learn the ways of the pack. Maybe they would even consider me a member and give me a rank. Lol I have a big imagination. Anyway, I would do it.

Just as an FYI, (typical) packs in the wild don't have ranks. If you're thinking about "living" with a captive wolf pack, though, "ranks" are more accurately given. Thought I'd let you know.

Even if I was given the opportunity to live with wolves, wild wolf pack or not, I'd rather not; it wouldn't be very safe, at all. But, I understand this thread is run more on imaginative grounds. I still wouldn't do it.

That would be impossible. No wolf would let a human join their pack. If I was a wolf, then I'd think just the idea of it would be crazy! It's like if a stranger knocked on your door and asked if they could join your family. Would you allow a complete stranger do that? The only way to live with wolves would be to raise them as if you were a wolf parent yourself...but i'd consider that just as crazy, if not more as the last idea. To make things even more difficult for you, you are much too slow to help with the hunts, you can't eat raw meat with the other wolves without getting terribly sick, you don't have a warm coat of fur that grows each winter to help you survive the freezing temperature...

I laughed internally at this sentence. As for the whole pack living thing, I personally would prefer to admire them as a detached observer.

I think imaginatively if it was a possibility then its a nice thought but in reality its not really a good idea so not really.

I would have to say I'm not sure. Like I would love to live with a pack as a wolf and stuff and probably would have been all for it a few years ago but now I don't really know. The way some live and stuff is really cool but fighting and hunting and stuff just sounds too much.
Would probably watch them from afar and live in a cabin or cave and try to mimic some of what they do but not all not anymore. tho living on the wild sounds kinda exciting and fun regardless.

I would only live with wolves for a reason. Wolves are incredible animals, but you wouldn`t survive for long with them. Only eating meat would give you a lack of Vitamins and that could kill you. So my finaly answer is maybe because if I had no choice or a reason to why I would live with them. 8)
Thx for the question

Under this definition of "living": Camping near a rendezvous/den/kill site and observing them from a respectful distance. Perhaps tracking their movements and general behaviors, staying close but never directly interacting. OR limited interaction with a semi-tame captive pack.
Heck yeah!

Under this definition of "living": Attempting to actually join a pack (wild or captive) or to raise a litter of wolf pups and become their parent.
I like my limbs, thank you...

I agree with you on that one, I'd rather do the one you first stated.

If being the "Pup Mom" at captive facilities where a person sits in a room with wolf pups 24/7 to care for and socialize them counts as living, then yes. If observing them from a respectful distance counts as living, yes. If working at a facility that has wolves and caring for a captive pack there counts as living, then yes.

If taking off all my clothes, running into the woods, screaming "I will be one with teh wolfs!!!" and trying to join a pack of wild wolves counts as living...no.
