I'm not really that interested in wolves, but sure, a wolf's life can be interesting to learn about. Just not something I'd spend an extended amount of time doing.
Their life seems more interesting mostly because documentaries, movies, and video games tend to spice up the gameplay and real truth a bit.
Agreed -- why would a game or documentary show you all the boring things or show you everything you've already seen over and over again? I guess it'd be more "accurate" that way, but that's not really how you keep an audience (or at least a large part of an audience, because honestly I doubt that most people watching a documentary about wolves or playing a game about wolves would enjoy the repetitiveness that could come from showing the same routine constantly) interested in your documentary/game. Obviously there would still be people who would enjoy it, but imo it's just not the best decision.
