Lake Superior island wolves choose other prey over caribou

Post by Koa » Tue May 03, 2016 1:51 pm

According to this article, there is an abundance of caribou on Michipicoten Island-- one of the islands of Lake Superior. The wolves there, who, like the caribou, migrated to the island via ice bridges, are actually not preying upon the caribou as much as one might initially think, and instead are directing their attention to another food source.
What are Michipicoten’s wolves eating, if not caribou?
