Child Of The Wolves

Post by Mystic3170 » Wed Apr 22, 2009 9:25 am

Child Of The Wolves is one of my favorite stories. It's about a husky who runs away and is taken in by a wolf pack. Snowdrift is a mother in the pack who recently lost her pups, and she acts as if the husky was her own. Granite, the husky, has to learn how to act and hunt in order to survive. He faces problems like : Strider, a wolf who hates him, porcupines, avalanches, and Snowdrift going blind. It's a really good book, and I think anyone who likes dogs and wolves would love it.
Is this the end of the moment
Or just a beautiful unfolding
Of a love that will never be?

its a very good book ^^ i've read it three times, i enjoy a story about wolves
but warning to you all, they do not "talk" in the story, they use body language and vocals to communicate.

I read this book. It is so good! I loved it, but it was kinda sad at the end. I enjoyed it though.

i read this back in fifth grade and thought it was really good; i definetly recommend it. it almost has a feel similar to Jack London's books Call of the Wild and White Fang from what i remember. i would go look for it at the bookstore, but it's a bit of an older one and will most likely not be there. maybe i could ask my mom to take me to the library sometime....
