The Good Dog by Avi

The Good Dog is the story of a dog named McKinley. He leads the town pack. One day a wolf named Lupin comes saying the dogs should leave thier homes to live with her pack which is dying out. The only thing is some humans try to hunt down the wolf and McKinley must save Lupin. The book was written by Avi, one of my favorite authors. Hope you love the book as much as I did!

The Good Dog is up on the long list of my favorite books, I absolutely loved it! And I think just about the same for all of Avi's books. Avi is a great writer.

Very good book. Read it months ago... can't remember exactly when.

I read that almost 6 months ago, and I still remember it perfectly. That is one good book.

I remember reading this book a few years ago. I absolutely loved it. At first, the fact that the animals could talk in the book was a little distasteful (I was only used to talking animals in movies and shows) but this book really helped me get used to it. I probably wouldn't have, if not for the fact that Avi is such an amazing author. I've also read Call of the Wild, which I believe he either wrote an introduction to or wrote the actual book (I think Jack London was the actual author of Call of the Wild, though.) Well, point is, I loved the Good Dog and, thanks to you, I remembered about the book and am determined to read it again.....let's just hope I can find it. :lol:
