they're great! some are for younger ages but they're so vibrant and great all the same, the good dog is among my favorite, Mckinly is very loyal to his owner, and thats why I can see a real life dog like that so easily

I have that book. I read it alot when I was little and thought it was great. It is not my favourite book any more but I do still like it. That's not where I got my wolf characters name I thought it was cool that the wolf had the same name! I actually made up the name lupin but then I found a few other places that it was used.

I was just learning about writing books in school, and I remember I got really confused because we were taught that the name of the book was supposed to be bigger than the author's name.... So I thought the book was called The good dog Avi. I read the book like 5 times, looking for any mention of a dog named avi, before I realized Avi was the author XD

Hahaha. Yeah, I thought the same, too.
My favorite character was Lupin (love wolves, my all- time favorite animals). I could totally have been friends with Jack, he and I could have been the only two people in Steamboat Springs NOT looking forwards to the hunt. (Though I did disagree with his plans to run away with Lupin, wolves are rather unpredictable...)

I like the book. It's sad that some people want the wolves dead because they think that they will harm kids or they will kill livestock. It was a good thing that duchess joined lupin's pack.
