I agree. You know, there aren't very many of those anymore... I liked the traditionally animated ones. ^^ I wish they would make a movie. :)

Yeah, a movie would be cool. But would it be better if it was like TLK or animation like Toy Story (or something like that :P)?

I think the plotline is simple and original enough that there doesn`t need added complexity as in CGI movies. Sure they show detail and effects nicely, but I would want it to be as realistic looking as possible in CGI, like Shrek in which animals look like real animals. not like Madgascar in which the animals are distorted out of context...Runt would loose its serious edge.

but I would want a 2d movie out of Runt...of course I think the title would be changed to be catchy...you know hollwood

Yeah, sometimes the stylized animals can get on my nerves. Especially when they knock it so far out of whack that, anatomy-wise, it's hardly recognizeable as the species it's supposed to represent. xD

Like Bolt and Mitten in Bolt are cute, but its a soft storyline.

Runt has a more serious tone, a goofy or silly character look to the wolves would make it less serious and be taken lightly.

A movie would be nice. I just hope they don't cut out too much It's not a terribly long book and I think that a lot of what happens build who Runt is.

Oh, I love that book! If you leave out the talking, it's very realistic, and shows what really happens in the wild. It seems like it should be for older kids, as bits of the book are emotional.

I should read that book again... It's fantastic, in my opinion.

The book is really a Disney softened animal book, as the wolves talk and are heavily anthromorphized. But still realistic and a great read.

Their's only one part in the book I'm not fond of so much...I had to re-read it to understand that Bider commits suicide by eating the poisoned meat when he's kicked out of the pack. I'm not sure if a wolf would really do that...it seems a little dark not to mention unrealistic.

dont think Bider commited suicide... i figured, when i read the book, that since he was killing the farmer's cows, the farmer poisoned one to get rid of him. he probably didnt even know it was poisoned
