"Wolfsong"- Animation

Wolfsong is an animation about wolves I recently watched on YouTube, but eventually found the original creator's post on Vimeo. There is mild blood and the use of hunting rifles, but nothing too violent. The animation was made by Toniko Pantoja.
It's a really beautiful work of art, so I wanted to share.

I had watched this animation a while ago, and it still remains an emotional thrill ride. Everything about it is splendid: the animation, the music, the story. It's all put together so well to create a truly emotional experience.

What a beautiful animation! Thanks for sharing it with us, LunaWolf! I must say I was a little confused at first because I once saw a video on youtube with the same or similar name, but it was a much less realistic, much lower quality story. I'm glad this one ended up being better than the video I was expecting, aha. It is a touching story, I rather like the parts where the wolf is (or seems to be?) singing to her child.

This is absolutely, wonderfully beautiful. I couldn't stop tears from coming. The story is emotional and quick to connect with viewers (or maybe just very emotional people such as myself.), and the animation is absolutely marvelous. I could watch this over and over again and still have no dry eyes.

oh no this animation again hahah
I say "oh no" not because it's bad at all, it's actually beautifully done in every way. It just has such an emotional effect on me and that's not something that I'm good at handling, heh. I think my favorite part of it is the music - it's so wonderfully done and so fitting for the animation.

I agree! I had to hold back my tears after watching it for the first time. The animation is amazing--I absolutely adore the style!

Oh god... that must be like the 9th time I watch this animation and it still makes me cry. The music really adds to the feel - that I must admit. I just love both the style and the whole theme. It's amazing!

I believe my roommate last year showed this to me. I watched it again recently and must admit it still pulls at me. The animator definitely capitalized on the pup looking as if it was frozen in time.

This is such a beautiful animation and yet so heartbreaking. I saw it a while ago and bawled for a while after. It really hangs heavy on you for a while after seeing it.

This is an example of a masterfully done piece. Everything about it, the atmosphere, composition, colors, and audio flow together so nicely and deliver the story in such a passionate way. I adore this animation to bits.
Even though it does almost make me tear up each time.

Very true... :wolf:

EDIT: I've seen this animation about 3 times so far, still gets me till to this day. I can't help it but cry, even if it's just a teardrop. It still gets you! The first time I saw it, I cried for a good 1-2 minutes if I can remember, maybe more! When I first saw it, that was the time I was starting to love wolves and that video kicked me and made me stand up for these beautiful creatures. Until this day, I am more than just a wolf activist, I'm an animal activist and a very strong wolf lover. :wolf:

Thanks for making me ugly-cry. I was a bit skeptical at first because I'm not usually a very emotional person, but dang.
