Re: Pack Central FAQ

I do apologize if my question has already been asked; I’ve been in the process of making a thread for a group in which I haven’t published yet. I’ve been studying the rules as I make the thread, and while I think it fits the guidelines, I tend to have a slight worry/doubt that something will be misread and make it get locked. Is it possible to get a moderator to examine a thread before publishing it?

Are you allowed to have in your pack the "alpha" pair? Like, it isn't romantic, but they're parents to the pups and work together to lead the pack. It would be completely kid friendly and not have anything about mating.

Yes, that's fine; you'll notice many of the packs in Pack Central utilize ranks.

Question regarding the strictly lupine basis; I have a group that I’m working on centered around a wolf-inspired “custom species” (I’m calling them Canis lupus umshi, due to their relation to wolves; common name simply Umshi) and was wondering if I would be allowed to advertise here. There is a smaller group of regular wolves present, though I want to make sure I don’t potentially break a rule.

For reference since I don’t have a physical representation quite yet; they’re essentially wolves, but with much more lithe bodies (built specifically for agility and travel via tree-tops, swimming, etc.), somewhat larger ears, long legs with paws more built for water travel or the climbing of trees (think; coastal wolves in British Columbia, regarding the water). They’re ambush predators, despite exceptional stamina that they use only when in combat situations. Their two upper incisors are built more like the “fangs” of a saber-tooth tiger, but still not 100% saber-like, dropping to just below their lower jaw; barely peeking out from upper lip as a whelp and rather dull, then growing/sharpening as they age.

So, basically wolves, but with a couple of genetic differences that make them less like the wolves we’re familiar with.
