The most dependable sites offering high quality and reliable information about wild wolves are the websites of wolf sanctuaries world-wide, wolf research centres and general web pages about wildlife and Canids.

The Grey Wolf Wikipedia site is actually somewhat reliable because the page is semi-protected.

Or you could ask your questions to the wolfquest community.
Mostly you get reliable answers.

You could do that, but alot of users here rely entirely on Wikipedia, and only 5% of Wikipedia's facts are true, apparently. You're best off using WolfQuest's 'About Wolves' section, or browsing the sites on Embry's list. Unfortunately, I'm unable to search for Wolf Info sites for you myself. Don't have the time when it's this late, you see. If I get the chance, I'll have a look for you tomorrow.

If you take wolf info from Wikipedia, I'd recommend people always double-check it and look for the same kind of information from other sources to see if they match; but like I said, Wikipedia's Grey Wolf page can be considered somewhat reliable because the page is currently semi-protected.

I will research more websites about wolves soon and post them here.

I heard http://www.wolfcountry.net/ wasn't an entirely reliable source. For what reason, I have no clue.

I may have a site to share as well-

As others have said, you do need to be careful about where you are getting the information from, especially with high profile species or issues.

I highly recommend, and as stated in the sidebar of wolf quest, www.wolf.org. If you can't find it there, I doubt you will find it anywhere else if you are specifically looking for information on wolves. The center is above biases on the information and the information is coming directly from the biologists, scientists, and educators that are involved with wolves.

Another great "scientific and biological" resource is the canid site by the IUCN (world wide authority and biologists with wildlife). www.canids.org. This site covers all canids throughout the world and has the latest studies on a specific species and will direct you towards other reliable resources.

I have heard a similar rumor, but just because some site is maintained by a common person (like a site that is not the website of a wolf park or a sanctuary, etc) can still be accurate. I listed it because the information it offers look pretty dependable and reliable, and of course, it's always recommended to double-check all the information you acquire from Internet.

It is not an entirely reliable site. It has been known to give outdated or incorrect information in the past and I would not use it as a reference.

People are free to use whatever site they find that they think offers reliable wolf sources, but if they are going to post it forward or spread the information (using it as a reference to answer questions), I would recommend finding matching or similar information from more accurate sources, like the webpages of wolf sanctuaries and Canid research centres, etc.

I know but I wrote it like a half-serious thing :)
But some WQ users does a little bit more research and uses reliable sites!
(So I am not saying that WQ members are unreliable)
Sadly i have not found any sites were i have found reliable facts about wolves (or if I have I do not remember them).
But I can give you a link to a reliable site about the leopard seal :P
