I'm pretty sure that blind wolves wouldn't be able to last long

Well it could be a posablilty, As long as they were in a pack any any. There sight is there worst scene and is the only one, in terms of observation and focusing, that humans have them beat. Though I don't quite know my self, they would be one of the first to die if times turned hard, thats for sure

Blind wolves do, but don't last long. Usually its an older wolf that goes blind. It is possable that a blind wolf could live in the wild with the help of his pack mates. They would care for the wolf, like they would an injury wolf. Who knows. I never thought about it. Something to look up thats for sure.

blind wolves?
its just like in the book "Kazan" (by james oliver curwood) where kazan (a siberian husky- wolf mix) finds a mate called greywolf. but later she gets blind, because of a lynx...

And what happens to her?

and I remember a book I read a long time ago where a hunter's air raid blinds the female leader of the pack, she was lead around by the others tell she almost started to act normal again, relying on other senses more

I'm pretty sure blind wolves exist in the wild, but as was said, probably do not last very long due to the inability to see danger before scenting it.

Actually blind wolves do survive quite well in the wild. They may not be able to see but with their amazing sense of smell and hearing you would never have guessed they were blind in the first place. Blind wolves in packs survive exceedingly well, and are just like any other pack member. I read a book on it a long time ago.

since my last post here was spam
i thought i would post somethin more sutible:

the thought of blind wolves being able to survive in the wild is bleak, they would need pack mates, warmth and security, if they where to stay with the pack or not, there is more chance of death though being alone, then with a kind caring pack, who will hunt for you!
although pack members genaraly stay in the pack, when they help it survive. But a blind wolf would not be able to help that,
a blind eye
1>not being able for look out
2>not being able to hunt
3>not being able to breed
4>not being able to be a peace maker

so there is a chance of getting kicked out!

1 Reason>you cant look out with no eye, u cant smell movement as such and the pack woulnt trust ur strenght to defend the pack/pups

2 Reason>Not being able to hunt means a decrease in the packs hunting, and they would have to give the blind wolf food they havent erned, and the strongones may go weak

3 Reason> Not being able to produce good pups lessens the chance of a blind alfa

4 Reason>Being a peace maker would be hard as the blind wolf wouldnt see some of the behaviour on witch the argument was coused!

I hope i have posted some useful stuff

Honistly I think the biggest problem would be comunacation with other wolves, thanks for that idea ^.^ though a wolf's sight is second to it's ability to smell very well

I don't think a blind wolf would last long.
Apparently, a wolf has an amazing sense of smell and hearing, but I highly doubt they replace vision. It isn't like a wolf can smell where to strike an animal, or hear stagnant obstacles in front of them.

To be grim about it,
A blind wolf equals a dead wolf.
I would think, anyway.
