wolf pup features? {eyes/fur}

Post by Bright-Heart » Mon Dec 26, 2011 1:13 am

I've seen pictures of young wolves and most have dark, almost black fur. are they always born like that, then other colors (white, red, brown) come in later? or can the pup be born as white, red, or some other color than black?
when do a wolf pups eyes begin to turn from thier pup blue, to thier usual amber?

thanks! :mrgreen:

All wolves, including the Arctic wolves, which are known for their white coats, are born with a dark fur. The color will change and become more prominent as the wolves grow up.

Most wolf pups are born with blue eyes, which gradually change to a yellow-gold color by eight to sixteen weeks, though sometimes their eyes can change color much later.

That should answer your questions.
