Wolves and Leopards
Wolves and Leopards
I just wanted to know about the interactions between wolves and larger predators, specifically leopards and tigers. I know tigers have been known to kill and eat wolves, but would a leopard do the same thing, or would they just leave each other alone? Would a wolf ever fight or chase off a leopard, or would a leopard be more likely to do that to a wolf? Could a leopard kill a wolf? Thanks for any help

Re: Wolves and Leopards
Surprisingly, I can't find any accounts of the two interacting, despite the fact that both occur in India, Nepal, the Caucasus and Far Eastern Russia. Still, it's fun to speculate.
A lone wolf would probably stay away from a leopard, but a pack may challenge one over a kill.Would a wolf ever fight or chase off a leopard, or would a leopard be more likely to do that to a wolf?
Absolutely. Leopards are notorious dog killers.Could a leopard kill a wolf?
I cannot see that wolves are in any way nobler in character than hyenas- Frederick Selous
